Just made this awesome recipe last week... I took a food processor full of broccoli florets (that is what I had)and pulsed it until finely ground (came out to about 4 cups ground). I sauteed the broc in a couple of tsp of olive oil for about 8 or so minutes then added 2 cloves of fresh garlic chopped. Then I added 2 cups…

Good for you Jenny! Small changes can equal big results over time!

Pain Being short of breath with simple activities Having to have a "strategy" to tie an untied shoe lace Being sweaty and hot all the time Feeling uncomfortable in my own skin

I have nothing particularly useful to add to this string but did have to comment about the comic-HILARIOUS! Thanks for a good morning chuckle.

I have the Body Media Link armband right now and I like it-I really like the interface with MFP and it seems to do a pretty accurate job of tracking activity. At first it was a little awkward wearing the band around my arm but I have gotten used to it in fairly short order. I previously owned a fitbit flex-it was fine, but…

I also work in a hospital, 12 hour shifts. I wear my body media arm band at work and I rarely log fewer than 15,000 steps on the days I work. I rarely have to do any extra activity on those days to "burn" my desired calories off. So I would think that yes you could add some as exercise. FYI, on average the body media gives…

Congratulations-that is great!

Oh dear Moon Moon, had to search for it-I have not laughed that hard in a long time.

I so appreciate you sharing your story-I love reading about success! Thank you!

One of MFP's told me about this website-fooducate.com . They have an i-phone app if that is at all useful to you. Anyway, you can scan the bar code of prospective snacks and it will give you a "grade" for how healthy or not healthy the snack is for you. I do not always 100% agree with them but it is a start.

Planning on a total of 140 down, currently have lost 54 lbs. No real time agenda but just trying to enjoy how much better I am feeling. I changed my diet fairly dramatically-much less processed foods, stopped drinking diet soda, rarely eat out, cooking and baking a lot, eating vegan, formally exercising on my days off (I…

Such a radiant smile, you are beautiful in both pictures. I am glad you found your motivation again.
-
Congratulations-what a difference!

Look up some good recipes and formulate a grocery list
-
Beautiful in both pictures but you sure do look happier in your skin in the after photos. Congratulations!

I know this may sound ridiculous but for me what has been really helpful is having an "anchor" that reels me back in when my motivation is lagging and I feel like I may be losing control with my eating. I have an anchor word and that word is "promise"-you can look to my profile for more information on that. Not sure why…

Sounds like a similar path to my own-been vegetarian for periods of time throughout my life and I agree, in the past I have eaten less healthy for sure. I actually recently made the switch to vegan eating and find I get the most satisfaction eating a diet that is skewed toward the asian side. I make a lot of vietnamese…

Me too...

Thank you so much for sharing your story and your pictures. While you are beautiful in all your pictures, you look younger and healthier now. Congratulations!

Feel free to add me-I am about 45 lbs complete of a 140 lb planned goal loss. Feeling very strong and empowered right now but am sure that will wax and wane!
