I'm in your boat. Rejoining after leaving for a year. But I am doing it better than before, more healthy foots, more fitness, and the results are worthy it. I think doing this last year made it easier to transition back into my healthy and fit life. Keep it up friend! Don't give up!

Baby spinach, sliced almonds, apples or strawberries, and raspberry vinegarette. Combine for a rock awesome salad!

I personally find cereal servings too small to possibly last me til lunch! Peanut butter and apple or PB on banana is a good start, around 60 cals for a piece of fruit and 190 calories for 2T of PB which is a well worth it splurge. A spoonful of PB mixed into a bowl of oatmeal is good too. But my secret to morning success…

I'd say I log in about 95% of the time... I hate when I have a busy day and don't check in until the next day and MFP resets my count! Looking for other people who log in regularly and especially people who have open diaries or like to post wall updates. I think it's way more motivating to be able to log in and see what…

You - and everyone else - can add me! I was a vegetarian for about a year and a half. Last March I moved away for work on an indian reservations. The youth center I worked at had long hours and we fed the kids dinner, mostly simple and filling meat-and-potato type meals like chili and tacos. Some short terms staff and…

If I am too hungry to think or cook, I go to a simple cheese quesadilla and guacamole. 1 tortilla, 1/4-1/5 cup of shredded low fat cheddar, and quick homemade guacamole (1/2 ripe avacado diced and smashes, a little fresh chopped cilantro, a couple cherry tomatoes diced, plus a squirt of lime juice and tiny pinch of salt).…

I'm in your boat. Depression and biplar run in my family and so does obesity. During my good days/weeks I get so much done and love to hit the treadmill and cook healthy dinners. But when I get down and tired its just too tempting to sit, and I avoid my food log like the plague! I am trying to log even my bad days now, and…

Bump I like leafy greens okay but I just can't seem to love them...

I feel the same way about processed cheese and almost any processed meat. Even the chicken in lean cuisines reminds me of mcnuggets ewwwww

Meeeee too. I did this a couple years ago and was dedicated. I am trying to get back to that place again...

I saw something similar to this a couple of days ago and decided to challenge myself to 1 miles walked or ran for each like. Almost have 30 likes!! Walked the first 3 this morning, it will definately keep me moving in the next couple of weeks!!

You don't HAVE to burn your exercise calories. Do what's right for you, esp if you are working out a lot. Also, healthy fats like avacado or a glass or milk can help if you are seriously under calorie but don't want to junk up.

I ran into a retired coworker yesterday who jokingly said I was wasting away - but he meant it in a good way. I was thrilled!

Pretty sure she did it by using the plan MFP set out for her. Just a guess :) I agree with everyone else, amazing work! Also, cute socks!!!
-
I think the number MFP gave you is correct, even though it takes some time getting used to eating less or more restrictively. A couple things you can do. Try eating more - an extra 100 maybe - and see how you do for a week or two. Or, exercise a little more and eat your extra calories there. A 30 minute walk can give you…

Welcome back! MFP is pretty awesome!

I agree with the sodium comments. It would take a lot more than some hot chocolate, cheesecakes, and a dinner out to add a legit 1.5lbs to you. The weight you are seeing is temporary and easily fixed. And remember, stress hinders weightloss, so relax!!
-
Agreed. You won't gail back 5lbs after just one or 2 days. Leave the scale in the corner and get back on track. All will be fine!

Yoga and vegerarian, we could be workout pals! Ha!

Crockpots are amazing, and so fast to throw together. Some favorites in my house are chicken breast with cream of mushroom soup (add soup + water, plus chicken in the morning on low and ready by dinner), or some pulled chicken or pork with bbq sauce (again, add a little water or orange juice to thin it out), or even just a…

Sounds like your holiday wasn't quite as fun as we all would like. Wishing you the best. And some retail therepy !

Wow that does seem really high! I really have no advice. If it were me, I would be questioning it too. I hope you find some resolution, I admire the changes you are trying to make!
-
I would love to know how to make it. I tried it once, the way you would make mashed potatoes but with cauliflower, and it was a fail. Would not mash, even in a blender. Tricks?

Not to be a debbie downer, but the holidays are upon us. Its hard enough to portion control and eat right this time of year, could you really give up EVERYTHING for just veg and fruits. I think I could not!

These are really cute ideas! Even though they are not all super original, the fun presentations and different sides might be just what I need to mix up my lunch routine!
-
I am amazed at how much I used to eat compared to now. I used to HAVE to have breakfast first thing - not a bad thing - but then I would need a snack or 2 before lunch, eat lunch early, then need another big snack or even a whole meal after work at 3pm. Then I would need dinner, and maybe a snack before bed. When I started…
