I guess I should clarify-it's weight lifting with cardio 5-6 times a week. Not the 2-3 like NROL4W.

Every time I eat more, I gain more and I can't say it's muscle. I'm at the end of stage 4 and bored. I feel like it was a good start getting me into the gym and familiar with equipment. My gym (LA Fitness) is having a 90 day challenge that I started today. I think I will like it a lot more. You hit the gym 5-6 days a week…

Totally dislike burpees so I'm in!! Good challenge!

Started stage 2 last night. Not bad. Planks-love/hate relationship. Had to take an extra week off due to moving. That is a workout itself so I didn't feel too guilty not going to the gym. FSPP not exciting here either but will continue to work at it.

Rest week over, time to move on to Stage 2 of new rules. Looking forward to the change!

Thanks guys! I never lifted before and now wish I had. I build muscle easily and see results much faster than doing cardio.

Stage 1 complete! I feel like I made some decent gains-having never lifted before. I do need to get gloves because my grip held me back a little at the end. Here are my numbers start/end. squats: BW/120# push ups: 30 degree/floor seated row: 20#/70# step ups: 5 risers - 5#/17.5# prone jackknife: BW deadlift: 40#/110#…

Stage 1 completed today! Looking forward to moving on to stage 2 :)

Potluck at work, feeling yucky, too many carbs and desserts. Blah...tomorrow is another day. Bright side, only two workouts left in stage 1 :)

Anybody else watching "The Biggest Loser"? I was so motivated by the (lifting) girl who weighs 165 because that was my starting weight and realizing I can still look damn good at a higher weight.

[/quote] THat's some incredible results. Were you doing another program before New Rules? Keep up the great work. I did insanity and turbofire before. I would throw in some Jillian Michaels's videos. This is my first lifting program and I love it some much more than cardio!

First month done! I need almost instant gratification to keeping doing a routine; I've started and stopped so many. With lifting, I feel soooo good each time I am done. Only lost 2# (I'm still getting used to the scale is not the best fitness indicator), lost over 7 inches (2 each in waist and mommy pouch, yeah!), and went…

I've been stalking NROLFW for awhile, even doing it for 3 weeks at home. I bit the bullet and joined a gym this week. I was doing my workout when two trainers came over for my "free" consultation for joining. The guy just didn't get it when I said I have my own program laid out. He looked at it and said I wouldn't build…

I had mine done in April. Best decision for myself ever! My husband didn't care either way but he knew my self esteem was horribly low. I went from a small B to a small DD. I am nowhere near my goal weight but the time was right. My body is now in proportion. I am more confident now then when I was at my goal weight. It's…

Hey all! I am in my 3rd week of turbofire and LOVE it! I did one round of insanity and this is my fit. I didn't give it my all in insanity but noticed I am not getting bored with TF. The time seems to fly by and the calories burned are showing my effort. Good luck to all!

I just started this Monday also. Love, love, love it!! I flail a little but I just keep moving. My 9 year old son loves doing it with me. I just finished insanity and like this so much more!

Final fit test complete! I didn't lose any weight and only a few inches here and there, but my endurance and cardio have improved dramatically!! Day 1-Day 60 results: Switch kicks 66-80 Power jacks 32-62 Power knees 77-108 Power jumps 20-31 Globe jumps 5-8 Suicide jumps 4-10 Push-up jacks 3-18 Low plank obs 30-58 Starting…

I'm starting Turbofire Monday. I didn't get the results I wanted from insanity but definitely much better than 2 months ago!

The best part of Max Interval Circuit is....no Tania! For some reason I am finding her facial expressions and "Woo Hoo"ing really irritating. I soooo agree with this. Every time I do the video, I like it more just for this reason!

Enjoy the recovery week-month 2 is brutal!

My body wants to check out too! Feeling more sore this month than I did last month when I started. I will keep pushing ahead because I want to see results!

Switch kicks 66 - 73 - 85 Power jacks 32 - 45 - 46 Power knees 77 - 86 - 95 Power jumps 20 - 27 - 30 Globe jumps 5 - 6 - 7 Suicide jumps 4 - 6 - 7 (hate these) Push up jacks 3 - 12- 15 Low plank oblique 30 - 40 - 56 Each time I think I can't possibly do better than the last time, but I surprise myself. Had to pause the…

Insanity says I should be taking in around 1800 calories. I can't eat that much-I always gain weight when I eat my exercise calories back (never have lost weight doing that). I keep it around 1500; give or take some. My schedule doesn't allow for 5 small meals daily, but I do try to keep 100 calorie pack snacks in my…

I had that feeling yesterday. I could barely workout, not put much effort forth. I think I was just exhausted. I'm trying to eat more and I slept over 10 hours last night. Made a huge difference.
-
I have been feeling disappointed too. I burn 250-325 calories a workout but feel like it should be so much more. The 325 is pure cardio and abs for 55 minutes. I can ride my bike for an hour and burn 600 calories. WTH?? My husband thinks my HRM is off but I really think it's true. I am trying to base my progress on my…

I needed it today!! I was out of sorts yesterday and had a hard time getting thru the workout. I slept 10.5 hours last night and now after completing the recovery, feel ready to tackle tomorrow. Bonus-my 9 year old did it today too!

You shouldn't try to discourage someone who wants to try. Isn't the point to just get up and move. Any exercise (modified or not) is better than no exercise. Each person needs to go at the pace that is comfortable for them.
