Bench: Shoulders Back Bend the bar hold your air drive the heels squats: back tight chest up knees out deadlifts: grip it and rip it

5/3/1 is geared towards getting stronger and faster as sluggz said. But Wendler did drop some weight by cleaning up his diet and creating this program. He doesn't advocate counting calories and starving yourself to be lean, but if you're significantly overweight or have a few pounds to lose, you will still benefit from…

I'd definitely speak with the principal/teachers/bus drivers first to try to resolve the situation. Then I'd try to get in touch with the parents. If all else fails, well actually regardless of the outcome, teach your kid to take up for himself. If he fights back, you've got it on record that you spoke with administrators…

just eat bro. I'm sure that putting tons of effort into eating just the right things at just the right time can have a small effect on results, but I don't think it would be worth time effort at this point. If you're bulking just eat when you can, and even when you cant

Find what is comfortable for you and allows you to be safe/stable.

Depends what you're going for. I can side with arguements of going slow if your primary goal is hypertrophy. But if you're trying to move more weight and get stronger, moving it quickly is the way to go.

this. I eat steak all the time when I'm cutting. As far as "cheat meals" go I'll typically load up on some mac and cheese or find a semi decent tub of ice cream to eat.

5/3/1 is a solid program that's easy to follow and tweak. And there are literally 100 different ways to program your assistance. I used this site to set up my 5/3/1 template http://blackironbeast.com/5/3/1/calculator 5x5 is great for just starting out, also. But becomes pretty challenging, especially without a spotter.

Creatine and maybe some protein if you're having trouble eating enough. If you have trouble with energy, pick up a preworkout. BCAAs and Glutamine are a huge waste of money.

thanks

Dial in your diet and strength train, you'll end up with legs that look better than "skinny"

My bad. Maybe just voice your concerns with her again. I'm sure she has a plan for you, but it may not be the most direct one, and may be based more so on what she likes to do. I have a friend who has been approached by a crossfit coach at his gym, and this guy is constantly telling him 5x5 and 5/3/1 are bad programs,…

Raw/165 pound class/ Roanoke, Va Only made it to the platform once (got injured before my last meet then lost a lot of weight). Best gym lifts 365/230/505

Each personal trainer is going to have their "idea" of how to get you results. I can understand if she has a different approach to getting you strong, but for her to completely disregard your goals and implement a program geared around something else just seems silly. Consider working with an online coach, they're a lot…

This. And if the weight is heavy, just try spotting him with a double overhand grip, no biceps tears then. Mainly requires an appropriate bench with the platform for a spotter to stand on.

your doctor is a liar.

very unfortunate situation. rest up, i hope you recover quickly.

lift weights and continue dieting.

A few things that helped me when my elbows/forearms felt beat up was doing high rep curls with low weight (like an empty barbell). Get good fats, plenty of rest, etc. If it starts preventing you from training, look into buying some blue heat or equiblock liniment to rub on the problem area. I've had to use it for my hips,…

vegetable oil? motherofgod, no. olive oil and coconut oil are fine. but soybean oil is trash. along with anything soy.
-
it's fine. But I'm blown away that anyone bulking is only taking in 100 grams of protein per day. eat more food insteady of putting away half a jar of peanut butter every day. rice, quinoa, pasta etc. put olive oil, coconut oil, or butter on those. Then eat them with some type of meat.
-
All of this. Start with a basic 5x5 program until you start stalling. And EAT! Then go into 5/3/1.
-
definitely add in some chins/pullups if you have time. I also like doing SLDL or snatch grip deadlifts as assistance on my squat days
-
log daily and eat more. you don't have to eat unhealthy things. add peanut butter, butter, coconut oil, olive oil to your fodds. at 2800 calories a day, I was dropping weight.
-
just eat it. its a much better option than a lot of stuff out there. and you can be absolutely shredded and lean while eating sugar.
-
it would appear that maybe your overall volume decrease is making you stall. find partners who aren't in a hurry.
