I should probably say that I'm only running 2 times a week, the other days I normally do strength training with a bit of cardio. I feel it is more of a mental thing rather than a physical thing. It could be my pace though I might try that!

That's great you're still going to the gym and keeping up with working out, don't lose hope! I was stuck in the same situation, I went and saw a nutritionist/dietician to help me out and she's helping me shift the weight, its something to consider, but how long are you staying with eating your calories? give it 3ish weeks…
-
I started this yesterday! I went to a nutritionist and she recommended it, so far, so good! I feel pretty great :) I hope everyones doing well! Feel free to add me if you wish :)

Oh why thank you! :glasses: umm well before i started using weights my body fat % was i think around 24% :\ i basically had no muscle, and still don't have a huge amount obviously but its getting there. yeah, i definitely need to invest in more weights! and also, as a side note im 20 years old and have basically never had…

Ahh so much confusing information! Haha, I hate that one person says one thing and another says something the complete opposite! haha That's awesome though! and yeah maybe I should stick it out for 4 more weeks and see how i go, and if i have no improvements maybe lower them? ahh i don't know haha
-
Well I've been taking my measurements every week but they seem to just stay the same, even before I started using weights, and even when I was losing more weight, so i kind of gave up on measurements. and yeah i'm definitely gaining weight (on the scale) and i know for a fact i've gained muscle but i've still got a fair…

I'll do arms and abs on one day which is normally like deadlift, benchpress, and my weight isn't that high- around 35lbs, then i'll do push ups and tricep dips just with my own weight, and legs are lunges with dumbells and squats with the same weight, the only problem is that i'm doing it at home and buying weight plates…
-
Yeah the HIIT I do on the treadmill, and I normally do weights at home, but I need to invest in some more haha, and I do alternate legs, arms, abs etc on different days. But yeah, thank you! :)
-
Awesome, thanks for the info! I shall check it out
-
Okay, thanks! My HIIT sessions are normally 30 minutes. P.s. Please give me your stomach!
-
That's what I thought, and every calculator says to eat 2000ish, so I have no idea, i guess I have nothing to lose if I lower my calories. I suppose I don't know for sure, but the scale seems to be creeping up and up (although I know it's most likely muscle) but I don't feel any thinner, and my main problem is my stomach,…
-
Thanks for your responses guys! Yeah, I've used a few TDEE calculators and most of them say i should be eating around 1800-2000, so i might cut it back a bit, but I'll check out those links too! I'll open my diary, although most days I don't hit my 2000 cals and struggle to hit protein

is being short and having big thighs like a huge genetic thing? I swear I don't know one person who is the same height and has slim thighs! (me included)! I hate it! >:(
-
Completely agree with all of this! I don't think I could even list all the things I've learnt from this site! But, hear, hear! I'll drink to that :drinker:

THIGHHHHSSSS and stomach and arms
-
lololololol
-
Wow congratulations!! You look amazing!
-
I think you should eat more! I get this in my stomach too when I don't eat enough, its your body storing all the food, once you eat maybe 200 cals more it'll literally all go!!
-
I'm 20 too! I need more friends so probably going to add all of you :D SW: 140 CW: 114 GW: 105ish I'm 5'0 Feel free to add me also :D

Hi, I'm 20 years old and 5foot, I've stayed at around 55kg (120lbs) for around 3 months now! I do 5 days a week of intense exercise but i still want to lose around 10 pounds, but the weight isn't going anywhere, I tried to change my daily calorie goal to maintanance on MFP but they said that was like 1,600 range, is this…

I'm in my 3rd week this week! (would be 4th but i got sick) i'm enjoying it heaps! Feel free to add me if you want!
-
Thanks! This actually helped a lot :D
-
Yeah, that's true. At the gym I do 20 or so minutes of strength training mainly on my legs because they're the part that's the worst. Then I'll do 30-40 minutes of cardio and every second day go for a jog for 40 minutes
-
Oh yeah right I'm 5 foot tall. I'm in the healthy weight range at the moment but I'm still hella jiggly Yeah, slower is probably better but it is still annoying!
-
Hi, thanks for your reply! I figured some of the weight gain is muscle and I am taking measurements every week but I'm seeing small, if no results there. I could just be extremely impatient to be honest haha but thanks :D
-
Thanks for your response, it's pretty inspiring to be honest I'll definitely have to keep that in mind when I get into running, wow sky diving how brave!
-
Sorry for the late reply but wow thanks for all the awesome advice everyone!! I've been able to run/jog about 2km but I've decided to start the C25K program this week, I'll let you know how I go! Feel free to add me too, I have 0 friends lol.

I have this problem too! I thought I was the only one! I definitely feel like I'm getting smaller but my tape measure always seems to stay the same.
