  • Hi, I'd like to add some more friends that have fitbit. I just got a charge HR for my birthday:) https://www.fitbit.com/user/4RNBV8
  • I love the one baked in the oven: http://yeahthatveganshit.blogspot.com/2007/04/infamous-seitan-recipe-o-greatness.html I think you can google variations on the seasonings in it so you can get different flavors too.
  • I'm still pregnant and have about 9 more weeks to go. I've so far gained about 30 lbs.
  • Yeah, I agree, about 500 calories for the milk so maybe somewhere around 1700-2000 calories a day depending on your activity level. I also believe when little one is EBF and young you wouldn't want to go too low on your calories. So what you're doing sounds good:)
  • Well, I don't have experience per say other than I am also trying a VBAC this time. My first was a c section after "failure to progress". I pushed but never felt the urge, it was coached pushing and I think the baby was not far enough down yet. I also had several interventions I didn't want the first time (like pitocin to…
  • Fruit, cheddar cheese, ice cream, grilled chicken. Oh and chocolate for a little while. Those are the main ones. My first pregnancy I craved cheeseburgers and gained way too much. Glad my cravings this time lean towards the more healthy side lol
  • With my first I used a hanging wet bag that had water proof pul lining. It got washed with the diapers. But it needs replacing and I'll probably go with a regular garbage pail this time with a lid and liner.
  • I have a little kenmore brand bread maker. The recipes that came with it were not good but I've found lots of good ones on allrecipes.com. This is one of my favorite basic recipes, its great as is or with half whole wheat and half bread flour: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/white-bread-for-the-bread-machine/
  • I have quite a few Bumgenius 4.0 pocket diapers. They are a favorite in our household, especially with the hubby. He prefers the velcro ones. For the newborn period I used mostly prefolds with covers until a little bigger, then the one size pockets started to fit pretty good from there on. We use a diaper sprayer after…
  • I think it sounds like you're on the right track and as long as you don't go below 1500 calories a day I would think you would be fine since your milk supply should be well established.
  • I second the moving comfort fiona bra, it helps support you and keep you from hurting.
  • I don't remember losing the mucus plug but I think I was a little dilated and effaced at the last office visit that I remember. I can't remember numbers or anything lol. But my water broke on its own at around 10pm on the night of my due date. I had been having some contractions throughout that day. I remember insisting I…
  • Yeah, I was going to say kellymom.com for breastfeeding - I didn't have a whole lot of people I could have talked to about it that had experience with it so it helped me a lot. For pregnancy I enjoyed Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. And I like the little week by week articles on babycenter.com. I'm also taking natural…
  • SherryTeach, 21 day fix is more of an exercise program then a crash diet, although I'm sure they send you some sample meal plans since its a beachbody program. I think they do give you some food containers so you can portion control your recommended foods like fruits, veggies, proteins, etc. So after the 21 days, you can…
  • Hi everyone, I'm currently 27 weeks and expecting our second little one due on August 24:) Have one little boy about to turn 3 named Wyatt and the new one's name will be Joshua Bennett. Oh and I cloth diapered with our first (at least most of the time anyway) and breastfed so looking forward to doing those things again as…
  • Hi, I'm Heather and have one son named Wyatt who is about to turn 3 this month. He is going through this whining/scaredy cat type stage right now which is really annoying but he is and has always been a sweet loving child for the most part. He was a pretty easy baby. Only main challenges right now are potty training (he…
  • I'm 23 weeks now and the past couple weeks have noticed a big increase in appetite too like I can't get satisfied until I've overeaten. Good tips here, I may try making a protein shake as one of my meals soon. Maybe try having a couple boiled eggs as a snack or a greek yogurt here and there to boost protein intake. I…
  • For my first son, I did a john deere tractors/farm animal theme. Did yellow walls and got john deere bedding set for the crib. Plus some cute John deere checkered valances for the windows and we were set. I think I would like to do a theme based on neutral colors for future nursery, like maybe light yellow and sage with…
  • I think 2000 is a good goal and you could even go up to 2200 or 2300 especially at first. Then later once your milk supply is well established after 4 months or so you could occasionally go a little lower but I wouldn't go under 1800 a day.
  • Glad to hear your latest update, trusting in yourself and your body is good and helps you to relax. I'm currently attending Bradley method childbirth classes (wish I had done this with my first pregnancy!) and the hospital I am going to deliver at offers free doulas. Oh and I went for my first visit to my new doctors…
  • Oh and I think you could request to wait until 42 weeks instead of 41 before scheduling a repeat cs. And there's lots of natural ways to help stimulate your body going into labor once you've reached your due date. I had my first cs for failure to progress after several interventions I didn't want but I did go into labor on…
  • Well, I'm also trying for a VBAC and your doctor sounds like they might not be that VBAC friendly, unless you think they were truly just trying to give you all the worst case scenarios. I am in the process of switching docs at 20 weeks to find a more VBAC supportive practice. I wish you luck, try to do lots of reading on…
  • I got some yogi red rasberry leaf tea from amazon. I'm going to start drinking it when I'm 30 weeks. Hopefully it will help I'm hoping for a vbac this time:)
  • I don't snack that much, but when I do here's some stuff I have. apple cut into wedges with peanut butter yogurt grapes tortilla chips with salsa
  • I've tried plantfusion chocolate and its pretty good. Thinking about buying a tub of the plantfusion vanilla this time or trying spirutein vanilla. The spirutein has lots of vitamins and is made with spirulina but the plantfusion has more protein per serving and is soy free. Both are vegetarian friendly. I've also tried…
  • I've been kind of lazy but getting back into things now. Mainly been walking/light jogging as my exercise, but mostly walking. Been doing a few squats/lunges when I feel like my legs are a little stiff. Maybe I'll try some yoga soon, that sounds like a good idea:)
  • A simple salad with baby spinach, sliced strawberries, and walnuts with a little rasberry vinaigrette. I had that for lunch today and it was so yummy! I've also been doing some wraps lately when I don't feel like cooking. I'm trying to eat better now, I didn't do so great in the first trimester so I'm trying to get back to…
  • Mine said girl, although the ultrasound tech at my checkup said she thought it was a boy but it was at 15 weeks it was a bit early to predict yet. I would be happy either way because I'd love a girl but I have almost all of the boy stuff from my son:)
  • Hi, I'm Heather. I'm 31 years old and this is my second pregnancy. First trimester has been rough, still not completely over the nausea, so my eating hasn't been great. I'm trying to now start eating better and keep my weight gain overall at less than 30 pounds. My first pregnancy was easy but this one has been totally…
  • This is great, I'm glad to hear about someone that did this and felt all the benefits! A girl at work was telling me about this and I think I'd like to try it eventually.
