  • Thank you to everyone who has sent me friend requests already! I didn't know there'd be so much love and support
  • @sarahlluvatariel - I eat slow. I start by taking a smaller portion than I usually do and eating it slowly and paying attention to my meal. No tv/computer etc. Just some music. I pay attention to when I am actually full and stop. Put the rest aside for when I am hungry again. I find I feel full on less food when I eat…
  • oh yes! I tried with no crust. Umm, grate some cheese and put it in a hot nonstick pan or on parchment in a hot (425F) oven until it bubbles and starts to get crisp on the edges. Then top with sauce, pepperoni, whatever you like and continue to cook until bubbly through to the center. Put it on a plate (with paper towels)…
  • I find that like many of you salt is an issue and my carb levels. When I cut carbs even for one day I lose a couple inches of bloat and jiggle in my belly. I know everyone is different but cutting back carbs really helps for me :)
  • Well it definitely looks like a healthy meal plan you have going on there! The only thing I can think is maybe your metabolism has slowed down on you. Maybe up your calories one day a week to kick start it. I don't know firsthand I just see it as an answer on these forums a lot lol. Its so unfair to eat so healthy and…
  • Yes there are noodles and rice made of konjac too. Miracle noodles theyre called but there are much better brands out there. I add them to stirfry from time to time. That capsules are probably more palatable for sure. The noodles are pretty much tasteless but I really enjoy the act of eating over taking pills lol. They are…
  • Okay so I kind of failed at this one! lol. I had a very hard time appreciating my coworkers yesterday! lol. But I DID appreciate the beautiful region I live in and how lucky I am to be here. And how amazing the weather has been this winter :)
  • Ohh I like this one! My work always has the best food here to tempt me. Today there is pineapple upside-down cake. I WILL be strong
  • This is one of the creepiest things Ive seen on MFP forums but i cant stop watching it lol
  • I am no doctor but I can backup the comment that applying yogurt topically will help relieve the discomfort, Like seriously, its amazing. Almost instant. I was having recurring issues just like you. I now take a daily probiotic and reduced my sugar intake to prevent it from coming back. I haven't had any symptoms in a very…
  • I take time away from calorie counting to practice intuitive eating almost once a month, I still login to the app to track my weight and check out the forums but log no food and it still works towards my streak
  • oooh I have read a lot about ACV. It has similar effects as lemon water when you drink it in the morning (alkalizing... getting your metabolism started... digestive juices flowing). Except ACV has probiotics. But only if you are buying the kind with the "mother" It gives me indigestion though. I use it in salad dressing.…
  • I was 185, now 145 and aiming for 130. I don't believe you need a gym membership although I have one. Doing some basic exercises will make all the difference. Squats, lunges, pushups, burpees etc. Check out some HIIT videos on youtube and they'll make you hard as a rock in no time :)
  • oh I was going to start a post about this. Unlike you, I drink often lol. I am therefore a mini expert on drinking while keeping the cals low. I usually drink vodka, rum, tequila or gin mixed with one of the following 0 cal mixes: water with lime perrier nestle flavored sparkling water soda and lemon, lime or grapefruit…
  • oooh I'm back because I thought of another. I am a BIG fan of pasta. To save calories I swap out the noodles for spaghetti squash. I just poke a couple holes in the squash and pop in the microwave for 5ish minutes. Let it cool a little then half it and take the seeds out. Perfect for stuffing with sauce or scrape it out…
  • I love all of you for your amazing pizza hacks. I see so many little pizzas in my future...
  • Soups and Stews! Hydrating and so filling. The best way to fill up on all your veggies. Can improvise and add anything you like. My veg soup is usually something like: Onion, celery, carrot, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic sauteed in a little chicken broth. Once browned, add some more broth to cover the veggies. Then add some…
  • Hey everyone! Thanks for being my motivators this month! My goal for Jan is to hit 145. Feb is 140lbs :)
  • Oh that is so awesome! Congratulations! There are going to be some carb lovers who won't wanna hear it but all our bodies work differently and I am like you that I feel much better with less carbs in my diet. I slim down so fast when I cut them out! And the bloated/tired feeling goes away :) I am so happy for you!
  • You look amazing and so happy!! Isn't that the best part?!? How amazing it makes you feel?
  • yes... this lol
  • Its a week before our anniversary but we still like to celebrate. Some years its dinner at home with some wine and a blues record on. Just have a few drinks and some laughs and maybe a couple dances after dinner. Other years we find a cute restaurant that isn't too busy. This year maybe thai or maybe just go out for some…
  • Ijust finished watching this series of videos after reading your post! Thank you so much for sharing. I have so many ideas now!
  • Oatmeal. Beans and rice. Homemade soups and stews are a great way to eat all your veggies and stretch meats a lot farther. And lots of frozen fruits and veggies! I have a couple laying hens that forage their own food so are almost free to keep and give me fresh eggs every day but I know this isn't an option for most people.
  • I am 5'4" and the left is me at 185lbs and the right was me at 150lbs. I have pretty much maintained (within a couple pounds) for 2 years now. Now it's time to power through another 20lbs loss!!
  • wow! Congratulations!! You are lookin awesome. I bet you feel amazing too! Thank you for posting and being an inspiration to those of us who still have a ways to go!
