Since I started lifting I rarely get depressed anymore. It has completely changed my moods and made me a far more positive person.

Dude you need to eat more. I am 5'5" 43 and 145 and when I was losing weight I was eating more than you. I would be starving if I were your size. Fire your numbers into this to get a better figure http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ Figure how you want to set your macros and then eat whatever you like as long as you are…

I agree, "heaping teaspoon" isn't very helpful either. When ever I see it and I can change it I do. Unless it is an actual standard unit of measurement it should be binned. I can't stand ounces either mind you. Grams or go home. :)

Putting your stats into a BMR calculator it comes up with 1592. You are eating too few calories, you aren't eating enough to maintain your health. Eat more. Calculate your TDEE and then take a 10-20% deficit from that number.

There are no scientific reasons not to drink them, they will have zero effect on your weight lose. If you like them drink up, if not don't.

I lift 3 times a week and do crossfit work outs 4 times a week and I am sure it helped keep my fat down during my first bulk. And for the record I always concentrate on form and never kip. Yesterday I did 86 pull ups and not a one was kipped.

I haven't read the whole thread but isn't one of the major points of doing exercise the end result? i.e. a fit trim body, feeling strong and energetic etc etc? Many people don't enjoy studying or practicing but it is the end result that matters : the degree, the skill or proficiency Anything worthwhile in life takes effort…

Especially when they wear a HRM (which are notoriously wrong unless you are doing steady state cardio) and clock 600 calories burned for cleaning the house for 45 minutes and then wonder why they aren't losing weight.

Lol at the "fake protein" part. I always knew legumes had a secret agenda to kill us all...
