  • To each their own... As long as the baby was left in the care of qualified people then I have no opinion on what those parents do. Personally I wouldn't go away from my child for 6 days at that age. Heck I can't fathom more than a weekend away from our 6 year old but that's just how my husband and I are.
  • I like all the answers about foam rollers and IT bands and new shoes, check your gate etc. Totally agree! I would like to add that ChiRunning is a fabulous way to run injury free. It has helped me tremendously! http://www.chirunning.com/
  • It could be any number of things. Your muscles could retain water from your workout, you could have had some hidden sodium in things, you could be constipated? Sometimes the scale is just such an evil tool. If possible I'd pick a day to weigh in weekly (I'm actually trying to only weigh monthly - -tho it's hard) and not…
  • I have had great success with ChiRunning. http://www.chirunning.com/ I would also say be sure to warm up and have a really good shoe that's right for you. Go to a running store and get fitted if possible. Hope you enjoy your running! :)
  • It's nice that you're happy with yourself. It would have also been nice had you gone with your first instinct and deleted that part. Funny how you think that a man would only like a "thicker girl" because he couldn't land a girl "like you". There may be a fine line between feeling good about yourself and feeling superior…
  • I think what I find most interesting is the question: Does it really matter what men like? I mean honestly... I need to like me and feel good in my own skin. I didn't like myself when I was carrying around 90 more pounds than now, so even though my husband certainly loved me that way I wasn't going to stay unhealthy to…
  • I did the program last spring and ran my first 5k shortly after. I'm now training for my first half marathon. I thought it was an awesome start back to running. I hadn't run since I was a teen.
  • Great work, you look awesome!
  • Great post, thank you. I call that my "food hangover". When I eat processed or unhealthy foods in large quantities, the next day I CRAVE more of it. When I do a free day I try to think of it not as a total free for all, but more of just a day where I don't count calories. I still try to eat foods that fuel my body for the…
  • Hi Clare, I'm finding a renewed enthusiasm since I started tracking here on a regular basis again. The great thing is that you know just what you're doing with portions and healthy choices from your WW experience, so maybe throwing in a little change up with MFP will be great for you too!
  • No kidding! She bugged me right from the start, but I did think her partner was hillarious, glad she's the one staying.
  • Yes, I believe you put in all your food and then count calories for everything. It's kinda been fun for me to see the calories in the veggies I eat... I'm so used to 0 point veggies.
  • I thought the concept was good... to show that it can be done at home. I just think it would have been better to give them more than 1 WEEK at the ranch before sending them home. I mean, these poor people are really going to have a hard time at home. Maybe if they had done that after 3 weeks, then they would have more…
  • Hi Jetar! I'm here entering for the morning. I finished entering last nights food and even with a small glass of wine for dinner, I was just a few calories under for the day. Woo hoo! I've been really trying to do my fruits and veggies and move my butt a little more. This site has sparked me... I was beginning to wonder if…
  • Thank you Connie! I typed it in and there it is - woo hoo! I am loving this site! Thanks again, Kara
  • Morning lovlies! I'm just entering my breakfast before I dive into work for the day:grumble: I'm sure that i'm missing something right in front of my face, but a little help would be great... (suffering a lack of sleep with a sick 3 y.o.) After I save a meal, how do I put it into my food tracker? Do I go to the saved meal…
  • Hi there! I'm in MN too - Twin Cities area. We have lots of family in the Brainerd lakes area as well as the Owatonna area - so we travel this lovely state a lot.
  • I was just looking at that too... Kinda makes me motivated (which i've been lacking).
  • Hello, It's Kjomom (Kara) I've been playing a little with the tools here, very nice - thanks for the heads up!
