  • Wow, awesome. Well done. You should be very proud.
  • Forget interval timer, its not good. Download gymboss, problem solved. It has some preset intervals, and you can create your own, and its free. I use it all the time.
  • I personally cannot seem to do a linear progression program like stronglifts or any other 5*5 type program while worrying about gaining a bit of weight. I still think you should lift heavy and do compound lifts, but, just not able to raise the weights quickly like they do in these programs. IMO you need to eat a calorie…
  • Agree on the grouped spokes, I haven't even seen Campagnolo branded wheels around here in a long time. I do have one from the 90's on my old road bike. Maybe because I live in Canada, not as common.
  • Just joined. Great idea. Happy riding.
  • I have fulcrum racing 5's, seem really sturdy to me. No broken spokes either. I am 235 approx. fyi
  • I just did the barbell complex one, 8 rounds in 20 minutes.
  • I use New Balance Minimus for everything but cycling, lack of support might be a good thing in the long run. Helped me get rid of plantar fasciitus, and I now have feeling in the sides of my legs, which I didn't before. They did take a while to get used to, and my calves took a beating on my first couple of runs.
  • Romanian deadlift for both butt and hamstrings, which are often overlooked. Also bridges, one of the best exercises for the but and low back, remember to squeeze at the top. Do them and you'll know you worked your glutes for at least two days after.
  • Also, in regards to eating back the calories you spent exercising. I think it's crazy to try and get back all of them, especially if you're not hungry. On the other hand, if I don't have a protein shake with a little bit of fruit, about 200 calories, I will get incredibly hungry later on. I call it a recovery shake, I feel…
  • Hey new guy here. I started out in 2008 when I bought my new mountain bike at 270 pounds. I'm now right at 235, although I've been as low as 225. I don't exactly do things fast. Firstly, when you're losing weight it's not a linear process. You lose a little, you gain a little. I weigh myself everyday and as long as I've…
  • I'll be doing the Capitol Forest 50 this summer near Seattle. They have a 100 option as well that I would like to work up to for next year. So far the only race I've done, 3 times, is the Test Of Metal, which is a very popular 67 km. race in Squamish B.C.
