  • Great job. Love the video. Good luck on your final efforts.
  • Possibly dehydration. Try drinking more water after your workouts. I usually find that I feel sick, usually with a very bad headache, when I workout vigorously but don't drink enough water.
  • Kicking sugar addiction is really tough. I have been going through it this month. I have found that "moderation" didn't work for me. In the end, I had to quit cold turkey. Maybe someday I'll be able to have occasional moderation, but there will have to be a lot of boundaries involved because I know I'll relapse pretty…
  • I trained in Krav Maga for almost 10 years. I started right after 9/11, largely because I feared for my personal safety. Unfortunately, I had to stop because I got too heavy. I hope to return once i drop 30 more pounds. I train because I want to keep my kids and myself safe. I know how to break someone's arm about 10…
  • I trained in Krav Maga for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, I had to stop because I got too heavy. Now I'm getting in shape doing American boxing. I hope to return to KM after I lose about 30 more pounds. My dream is to become an instructor in KM and the Bas Rutten Fight Systems.
  • That's probably your body telling you what it needs. I would eat something filling in order to maximize the calories. Sometimes I eat a bowl of oatmeal in the evening if I'm really hungry. I even keep oatmeal in my desk at work in case of emergencies.
  • Personally, I've never had people be negative toward me about my size at the gym. In my experience, it's really just a matter of respect. People see me always working hard and not slacking off. in fact, I work harder than 99% of everyone else at the gym. People notice this. As a result, I have found universal support. What…
  • 1200 is a minimum. I wouldn't let it go any lower than that. On days I workout, I do sometimes go up to 1400. On days when I don't, I keep it to 1200.
  • You might have developed a sugar addiction. I have struggled with this. I'd highly recommend getting abstinent from sugar for at least a few weeks and let it get out of your system. In addition, you might find it helpful to get some therapy to explore the emotional aspects of your eating choices. You might be suffering…
  • The trick is keeping the peanut butter under control. You pretty much have to keep it to 1 Tbsp (which isn't what's shown in this pic).
  • As long as you keep making improvements and don't make it a habit, you'll be fine.
  • If you listen to the February 8, 2012 broadcast of her podcast, she explains the program in some detail. It's helpful.
  • Love Bolthouse. It's hard to find in our area, but I always pick it up when I see it.
  • The main thing is to stay away from refined sugar. If you keep your fruit intake to 2 servings a day, you should be fine.

  • Thanks for the link. I've been looking for another way to track exercise. MFP doesn't include an entry for the type of exercise that I do.
  • The only way to know which is calibrated correctly is to put a 10 pound weight on each and see what happens.
  • How do you figure that it's low calorie?
  • I tried the Fitbit but found it to be horribly inaccurate when it comes to measuring exercise. It told me that I burned 300 calories after 60 minutes of highly demanding boxing training (not cardio kickboxing). Basically, it's a fancy pedometer. It just tracks how many times your body jiggles/steps during the day. I sent…
  • If you're trying to lose 15 pounds or less, you need to use a different method. You're probably not eating enough. You can't have any more than a 500 calorie deficit per day otherwise your body will hold onto the weight. Read Jillian Michaels' book, Making the Cut. That's what it's about.
  • If my endocrinologist told me that, I'd fire her and find a different one. That's really scary. Starving yourself won't help your situation.
  • Depending on your size, it usually takes a 20 to 30 pound weight loss before people notice.
  • You are probably not eating enough. If you're within 15 pounds of your goal weight, your calorie deficit can't exceed 500 calories. #Jillian Michaels 101
  • titletown - Thanks for the recommendation of the web site. That's cool. Off topic - I just happened to see you've been stuck on a plateau for a while. Based on what I know, there are at least three possibilities: 1. Your exercise is being set off by your calorie intake. In other words, it's static and you're not creating…
