  • Just read your blog - it's GREAT. Love the honesty. Thank you
  • Congrats Well done! :D What a Fab way to start the new year! You've just given me a timeline for my journey as I am starting at the weight you are at and I am the same height! I once spoke with a trainer who said that if everyone just "ate clean" the weight would come off. By eating clean she meant no processed foods just…
  • How about doing a "Reboot" or Juice Fast. Perfect while you are convalescing. Check this out http://www.rebootwithjoe.com
  • FANTASTIC Job! You worked hard and did it - that is something to be very proud of!
  • As a shift worker sleep has always been an issue for me (um, typing this at midnight!) Here's are some things that work for me. 1. Hot bath with lavender oil- knocks me right out 2. Chamomile tea 3. Meditation - slows the mind 4. When I'm at my best I do get up by 7 am even on days off I work at 5am on some days so the…

  • I think it's a FAB photo and I think it's a FAB goal. By posting that on FB you may have tapped into other people's issues about - THEMSELVES. If you get fit and FAB then it may make them uncomfortable as it will remind and show them that with hard work and dedication they could be fit too. Rock on, girlfriend - like the…
  • Hello Everyone! Well, I'm starting over as I have missed a week. Got as far as Day 7 pulled a calf muscle & my neck took 2 days off got called to work away from home, didn't sleep well, back to work and am finally getting it together. Not giving up! KUDOS to all who are keeping up with this! You know, I'm much…

  • Hello All! I'm taking a hint from Phatsoslim and taking 2 days off the Shred - back at it tomorrow! I pulled a calf muscle and put my neck out. Both are recovering nicely so there is no reason not to be back at it tomorrow. I was feeling a bit of a failure because I bailed on doing the Shred 30 days straight but I've put…
  • Yep, I put my neck out too and my deltoids were killing me! I saw my physio and we determined it was straining the chin forward during push ups instead of keeping the head flat. Jillian gives all the correct instructions for form - we just need to follow them! With regards to the sore shoulders - it was muscle soreness not…
  • Good Morning Shredders Hmmmm, looks like people are taking a rest day! I really want to Shred today but yesterday I did something to my calf muscle yesterday. It is very sore today so I am going to spend the day walking around, getting chores done and hopefully by the end of the day my calf muscle will like me and I will…
  • Morning Crew I must admit I am doing the Shred Level 1 every day but I listen to my body and modify when necessary. I had a knee injury so for the first few I was very careful with the jumping jacks, won't hesitate to sub with a powerful low impact move but even when doing that I still push myself to the max. I am also…
  • D6L1 - Done:bigsmile: I'm feeling stronger but it is still a tough work out and I  it! Previewed Level 2 and dare I say - it kinda looks easier? Bet it isn't though! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday and enjoying the extra hour Lisa
  • Totally agree about the HAVE to keep it up! I've done push up before but never "pushed through" the soreness and now I feel invincible! So strong and my cardio endurance feels like it has tripled! I'm feeling like an addict with a new drug! Sooo, must go Shred! Happy Shredding Everyone! Lisa
  • Ooooowwhh! Let me at that man and I'll tell him "yep, it's good exercise for you too!" Go Girl, keep it up, don't let ANYONE stop you! Lisa:happy:
  • SHRED - D5L1 - Done! I feel great! Next 5 days will be an excellent prep for Level 2. I feel 1. Engergized 2. Empowered 3. Strong 4. Am sleeping so well Why would I want to stop? this! Happy Shredding! Lisa
  • Right on Jen! In my mind I'm halfway through Level 1 and I'm not stopping now! Woke up with no major soreness just that lovely minor soreness of muscles getting fit and fat burning off . . . Late night at work so - late start but I'm not stopping! Lisa
  • SHRED - Day 4 Level 1 Done - and it was so much easier! Well, not easy, easy but my body is getting stronger and adapting. Only 6 more days until Level 2! Happy Shredding Everyone! Lisa
  • Ah Ha! You've just given me my December goal! Thanks! Lisa

  • Hello Happy Shredders! I've lost 4.7 since my first WI which was some time ago . . . .not cheering yet as I've decided to weigh in on Fridays; next Friday will be fun for sure! THANK YOU to all who posted Shredding does get easier! Those first 2 days were killers! I am so proud to stick with it cause I am feeling GREAT…
  • Whoah people! That was some crazy last post! I obviously haven't figured out how to reply to an individual post - sorry! :embarassed: Lisa
  • SHRED - D3L1 Done! Woke up this morning with a painful neck & shoulder. Luckily my physio had an appointment free & her advice was - Go Shred! It was just a kink and working out helps - yippie! It was sooo much easier today & I was picking up the pace! My Goals for November 1. Do the Shred, faithfully, for…
  • Hey Starlight - Don't beat yourself up - Let Jillian do that  I'm not 100% either. I'm doing modified jumping jacks cause I had a knee injury. The key is to push yourself to your potential and DON'T compare yourself to others! At the end of 30 Days you will look back on Day 2 and go WOW I've come so far . . . Go…
  • Thanks for the info! I feel great! Sore from yesterday but I haven't done weights consistently for some time. As long as it is gone by Day 10 cause on day 11 I'm planning for Level 2! Lisa
  • Just about to do D2L1. I'm pacing myself as I have never done this before and will do L1 for 10 days and progress from there! I feel sore in all the right places and know if I keep it up my body will adapt (having a nice hot soak after never hurt either!) Back after Shredding . . .. Happy Shredding!
  • YAY Jen! What level? I'm pacing myself - Level 1 first, my legs aren't sore but my shoulders are - love it!
  • How to add the Shred to your exercise - I have a heart rate monitor and create a exercise called "shred" and add the calories to that. Not sure how else to accomplish the entry - ideas anyone? HAPPY DAY ONE SHRED! We will all be in a much fitter place by the end of November! :)
  • Day One is done for me! I got up at 4am to do the shred before work (start work at 6am!) The bonus was that I felt GREAT for the rest of the day! Tomorrow my beginning stats will be in my signature under my ticker. Sorry - can't do a photo! Not until 20 pounds comes off anyway!
