  • If you're walking, even to a destination, make sure to listen to upbeat music while you're walking. It makes the walk less boring! :)
  • Moving Comfort are my go-to sports bras. I'm a 38DD and they work well for me. I look for sales at Sierra Trading Post online and I also buy mine at the end of the season because they will discount last season's color.
  • I wear compression capris when I'm exercising in a public place (gym, zumba, etc.) I also wear more fitted clothing. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but if I'm wearing a baggy shirt and I bend over the shirt will flop around and possibly show my body, but if it's more fitted, I don't have that happen.
  • Have you tried the Enell bra? It pretty much straps you down with just enough room to breathe?
  • I didn't like the taste of Mike's lite. It's less calories but also less tasty.
  • I eat the PB2 chocolate. I also like to add it to my smoothies, greek yogurt, protein drinks, and use it as a dip for apples. Full fat peanut butter is good if you want healthy fats, but it does have a lot of calories compared to PB2.

  • I'm not close to my goal weight but I find that HIIT works just as well for me as eliptical or treadmill intervals. One is just shorter in duration than the other. I use a heart rate monitor for both. My heart rate stays up for a while even after I'm done with HIIT, which is not true when I'm using a machine. I do both but…
  • I guess it depends on what you consider fun? Are you looking to do something like Zumba that is more dance-like? Or do you enjoy swimming? Power walking with your dog? Kickboxing? You may have to try a few different types of exercise to find what you enjoy and what you don't. You can also listen to music while running or…
  • I bought Moving Comfort bras on sale online at Sierra Trading Post. I also checked out Moving Comfort online too because some colors are being discontinued so they are discounted. For workout clothing, I went with Old Navy for compression pants and Walmarts for shorts and shirts.
  • I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my father in May and it was a very difficult time emotionally for me. I can tell you that I stopped following MFP strictly and immediately gained weight (5 pounds over a month). It was so hard to get back on track and two months later, I'm still having a hard time staying on track.…
  • I put them whole in my greek yogurt or in my scrambled eggs. They add a little protein, fiber, and bulk to my intake for the day.
  • This is discussed a lot on the boards, but I have the Polar FT7. To me, the main difference is the amount of training records saved. The FT7 saves 99, the FT4 has much less. You can do a little more on the polarpersonaltrainer.com web site with the FT7 including data transfer. Also, I liked the look of the FT7 better.…
  • I wear my Polar FT7 HRM to Zumba class without any problems. I like to see how I'm doing throughout the class and my HRM gives me a better read than just guessing what my exertion level is.
  • 4 pounds in 3 weeks is good. It means you're on your way! If you have less to lose, it may come off a little slower than someone who has 100 pounds to lose. Hang in there!
  • I get bored easily so I rotate my workout DVDs. I also do strength training and Tabata intervals to break things up between days.
  • I have to say that the best remedy for soreness for me is to keep moving and take an ibuprofin if I'm horribly sore. I overdid it on the treadmill yesterday doing inclines. While I'm not as sore as you describe, I am pretty sore and I found that walking and stretching has helped today. Hang in there.
  • I think the walden farm pancake syrup is good. I haven't liked anything else from them.
  • You might want to check out collagevideo.com You can preview the videos before buying them so you'll get a sense of what each one is about.
  • Replace some of those carbs you are eating with protein and fiber. They will help you feel full and will help wean you off your extra eating. Also, drink more water. Is there something else you can do to distract yourself so you aren't so bored?
  • Buy it and use it. It was one of the best pieces of advice i received on MFP. I can tell you from using it that I was either over estimatnig or underestimating before. Now, I weigh everything. And it has helped me stay on track!
  • I use a Polar HRM and my calories burned on my HRM compared to zumbacalories.com is lower by about 50-75 calories. I use the numbers on my HRM.
  • Water weight. Just ask yourself if you had a lot of sodium on your cheat day?
  • My doctor, who weighs at least 100 pounds more than I do and not in a good way, told me that to lose weight, just stop eating donuts. Huh? I don't eat donuts. I wanted to ask him how he gained so much weight in two years, eating donuts???
  • A few days are not enough to see if you are going to lose weight on this plan. My advice, for what it's worth, is to stick with it for two or three weeks to see how you are doing. Also, regardless of what weight loss plan you use, if you are close to your goal weight, you might lose at a slower rate than others. Hang in…
  • I love their fat free milk, light string cheese, Fage 0% greek yogurt, and fish sticks (my vice). I haven't had anything else bad from there either.
  • Another simple book by Michael Pollan is "Food Rules". It's small, simple, and makes sense.
  • For me, if it has calories, I track it. Some people don't, but I do.
  • If you have a chest strap on your HRM, do you wet it before using it? Do you clean it? Also, check your batteries. 554 calories for 60 minutes of walking at 3mph seems a little high?
  • Skip the protein powder. You can eat fish (tilapia, tuna, etc.) to get a lot of protein. Cottage cheese and yogurt are also packed with protein and they're cheap! Skip the coconut oil. Not sure why you need it but there are other oil options out there. Buy generic stevia if you really need it. Focus on eating clean…
