If you aren't hungry, then don't eat.

If your BMR is 2400, I am guessing you are pretty big, so it is okay to eat 1500 calories. You will lose weight pretty fast. Once you get down to a lower weight though, you should eat at least BMR to prevent unbearable hunger and your body to go in starvation mode.

If you are highly motivated by the scale, then no, don't do strength.. If you want to lose weight faster, but not see a huge difference on the scale, but see the difference in your clothes, then do cardio. Me personally, I get discouraged if I see the numbers go up, so I am sticking to cardio for now until that scale…

Yeah, I obsess over it way too much also! The problem for me with the TDEE stuff is that I put sedentary because my exercise is just not consistent. I may work out 7 days one week and only 3 days the next. Thanks for the help!

I agree, especially if your body is using energy to detoxify, thats more calories burned. Alcohol does cause you to retain water and get bloated though. I found that even if I have just one beer or something within my calorie budget, it takes an additional 3 days of not drinking to get back down to the weight I started at.…

Well, I can tell you that my grocery bill is outrageous because we buy healthy food, and only eat organic meats and free range chicken due to animal welfare philosophies. 5'3 and 142, trying to get down to 143. I would love some more friends. Its hard to relate to people who are way bigger than me who don't understand that you actually need to go below 1700 calories to lose weight at our weight!
