  • Hello all, I am one of many people who suffer from TMJ. When my jaw is doing well I can eat lots of salads and so on. But when my jaw is flared up it's soft foods for me (sugar free jello, sf pudding, cottage cheese etc.) . Would anyone care to share your favorite soft food ideas with me?
  • Thanks Deamarie for the article. It affirms what I was feeling. Slow steady movements are most comfortable. It's wierd how your body tells you what it needs if you just listen carefully.
  • Always from home since I live way out in the country. I try to walk, ride my bike, wii, I love gardening.

  • Yippee! I'm making progress. I've been faithfully logging meals and trying to plan ahead so I eat in a balanced way. I've been doing some light aerobics every day to get moving again. I have to be careful since I've got health issues but just being consistent is a start. Now if I could just find a fitness buddy to help me…
  • May I join your thread? Snowshoeing is something I've never considered. I used to cross country ski but injuries prevent that now. Tell me more about shoeing please... Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Easy Calorie Counting
  • Yes that's right as long as you don't injure yourself which is what typically happens with me. Somehow I even managed to tear a ligament in the pool doing water aerobics. The trick for me is finding something I can tolerate without injury. Any suggestions?
  • I'm fairly new to this site. I'm looking for some friends that could give me some advice. I'm 50+ and battle fibromyalgia, low thyroid & back problems. Is there anyone out there that has a good stratagy for working out through the pain? I'm doing ok (most days) with the calories but working out is really hard for me. I get…
  • Make a good snack if you choose sugar free. I like to add diceed fruit to add texture to it.
  • UB40 one of my fav's:smokin:
  • I just added some calorie statistics to my blog in case anyone is interested. I'm sure they vary from person to person but they might give you some inspiration to give it a try. I got them from the web so use them as you would any information you gather from that source.
  • Yes, I agree with several of you. I should have mentioned that I won't eat margerine with all it's unhealthy fats. I love my butter. Maybe the whipped alternative would work better. Right now I'm just slicing a stick into paper thin pieces to add to food. Created by MyFitnessPal.com -

  • I am so sorry for your personal loss. Cancer is a very hard disease for all parties concerned. I'm glad that your brother's fight is over and he can rest in peace now. Take care of yourself now as January seems to be a tough month for our mental attitudes. I'm new on this website but am enjoying it so far. I too am 50…
  • Does anyone have a healthy low cal alternative to butter.
  • I just looked these stats up on the net. Hope this helps... In terms of which games produced the greatest amount of weight loss, Wii Boxing burned an impressive 125 calories/half hour followed by Tennis at 92 calories/half hour and Bowling at 77 calories/half hour.…
  • I would certainly think so. It seems if it gets you moving it should burn calories. I wonder how many? Nice work beating the big guy in your life
  • Thanks to each of you for the warm welcome. (Can't say the same for our weather) We're expecting 6-10 (more) inches of snow tonight and subzero temps~ I'm glad to know there are friendly voices on this website. Support is a very good thing
  • I'm new to this whole journaling thing but am trying hard to be honest with myself. It's time to be serious about my weight / health before it get's any further out of control. Several surgeries have allowed me to slip back into all the weight I lost several years ago. Now throughly deconditioned and out of shape I am…
