I bring my lunch in glass containers instead of plastic and I wrap the kids lunch with aluminum foil and they re-use it (if its clean) for the whole week and then it goes in the recycle....saves us from using those plastic bags. I have also made washable napkins, the kids like it when I use different fabrics thru the year,…

I'm 5'2" and just turned 40...I've been sitting at 137 for awhile. My highest weight was 148 and am looking to get to 125, but it's going very slow. You are certainly not alone, best of luck to you!

I've been there!!! Yes, the house is empty and you miss the kids but use this time for YOU. When I went thru that time in my life, I would get so depressed every time my kids walked out that door (they were only 2) and yes, the girlfriend was much younger and yes, so skinny. I finally decided to use the money I was…

I felt the same way last month...was working really hard and then just seemed to crash and loose all my energy, but I'm back it now. Started back with the lifting for the arms and they seem to be progressing faster than before. Get back on the wagon...we can do it (my 40th birthday is July 15th) so that's my goal date!

I've read the books that you mentioned and a few others, I take bits and pieces from each one and gear it towards my life. I started out with 5lb weights and have moved on to 8lbs and I walk at least 2 times a day and the change in my body is working for me....I'll admit it took about a month to see any change in arms, but…

I add it to just about everything...meatloaf, tacos, chili, spaghetti sauce, yogurt, pancakes, I have even coated chiken and fish before I bake it.

I had a dream about huge, greasy, fried onion rings last night!

If you have a good instructor, Zumba is great. Went last night and according to my HRM I burned 474 calories in 1 hour. I can also tell that my endurance has improved sooo much. She has us do jumping jacks in between songs to keep the heart rate up and 4 months ago I could barely do 20 without my lungs and legs burning,…

I would say you are more of a banana, cause if my apple body looked like yours I would be thrilled!

I never really had a waist before kids, but I at least had the illusion of one. After kids, my stomach just got bigger and an wondering if I will ever have a one again.

It's like looking in a mirror at my own stomach....I keep hoping that it will go away but after reading all of these answers I'm now really depressed.

I have heard that it takes anywhere between 60-90 days to make something a "habit" Start small, just one thing on your list of things to change and go from there, eventually it will just become part of your routine. Small steps, but just keep going forward, you can do it!

I would love some other opinions also, seem to be on a 2 week slump myself...need to get fired up again but not sure how.

If I'm not eating scrambled eggs with brocolli I will eat a greek yogurt with some cinnamon and, or granola in it. Taste good and keeps me pretty satisfied until my mid morning snack.

I had an emergency c-section with my twins (11 years ago) and it's my worst area...I've heard that running helps flatten the tummy and having asmtha it's hard to do, but I'm trying! I have also lost weight and it seems to be getting better, but as always it's a work in progress. Would love to hear from other c-section…

I use flax seed in most everything....I put it in my hamburgers, turkey burger or meatloaf, I use it with bread crumbs to coat chicken or fish, I mix it with my yogurt, I put it in my sandwiches and wraps. Not sure about the chia seeds, although I do remember seeing a few ideas in a recent Oxygen magazine. Hope that helps!
