  • There's lots of things to try - but what do YOU like??? I've started and restarted p90x since I bought it in March. I like some of the workouts but one hour a day is a lot to ask for in my household apparently. :grumble: I love the outdoors and fresh air. I love the change of scenery and getting out (I'm at a desk 9 hours…
  • Awesome progress!!! Congrats! Creepy profile zombie pic, too!
  • <31 here (32 in December). Anyone add me who wants to
  • On the flip side. My husband's friend brought a girl over for a few weekends. She was very pretty, but after an afternoon hanging out at the fire, they got changed at our place to hit the bar. She put on a plaster coat of foundation, fake eyelashes, bronzer and tons of eyeliner and lipstick. She looked so fake, like a made…
  • I'm about half way through the story missions and LOVE this app. The downside is that it doesn't really monitor your runs/walk if you're working your way up to running. They have however just come out with a zombie 5k training app that's like a prequel to Zombies, Run! It sounds interesting and I might buy it once I finish…
  • It definitely depends on your workouts. I have 3 prs of tennis shoes: my old new balance (3 yrs old) are beat up and lack cushion. They are for push mowing the grass or any dirty work. I have a $30 pair of Ryka tennis shoes from Shoe Carnival that started as my beginner running shoes. Now I use them for my cardio workouts,…

  • I can't even gingerly cross my gravel driveway in bare feet, let alone think of running barefoot
  • I live out in the country so no trick-or-treaters means no candy to buy. But I do take my kids in town to trick-or-treat and will try to resist the urge to dive into any kit kats or nut-filled candybars.
  • If I were to just do a quick raid of my garage at home: golf clubs, baseball bats, hammer, and a couple of chainsaws. If I haven't made it home yet, I'll have to settle for the tire iron in my car or the iron bar used to bar the warehouse door shut in our office at night.
  • Starting week 9 today.
  • One thing I can say is eating out is diet sabotage - even on the healthy menu. Most restaurant foods (fast food & dine-in restaurants alike) are loaded with sodium. Even if it's a healthy option on the menu, it's usually packed with sodium. Sodium retains water inour bodies, so a lot of that weight could flush through your…
  • Congrats!!! :drinker: I'm still trying to reach ONEderland and will be so thrilled when I get there...been 12 years for me.
  • I know the feeling. We had an impromtu surprise Boss' Day for our boss today, complete with not one, but TWO bundt cakes in the conference room. We are an office of six - really do we need two bundt cakes?!? And they decide to hold our company meeting and eat cake, so I'm stuck at a conference table while they're all…
  • I'm not sure how the crabs aid in running, but carbs are definitely needed for endurance running. The crabs on the other hand sound like tasty incentive for after the run.
  • Stick!!! My Jeep is a stick and I would't have it any other way. Sure, it sucks in slow-moving heavy traffic, but the ability to shift gears as I see fit are perfect for off road, rapid take off, or even pulling some none 4x4 work vans out of the mud (which I had to do for my husband and his coworker a week ago). Nothing…
  • I use an arm band and deal with accessibility issues. I've burned through two and am on my third. The wrong buckle wears a friction burn in your arm (VERY painful). That being said, this is why fanny packs need to come back.
  • I fight to get my 8 glasses a day if you count a glass as 8 ounces. Coffee in the am = 16 oz (2 glasses) 1 - 22oz cup before lunch = 22 oz (2.75 glasses) 1 to 1.5 - 22oz cups after lunch = (2.75 - 4 glasses) Skim Milk with dinner = (0 glasses) 1 glass of tea or water before bed (1 glass)
  • This thread is getting very bumpy. Anyone on here, add me if you want someone around who logs every day. I'm not always on top of the WTG's, but I log, I run, and if you need me I'm there.
  • You look amazing!!! I need to start adding my 2nd workout. I've been running since May, but have neglected my p90x routine. After seeing this post and your awesome pics, I'm going to push myself to get back into p90x while running. THANKS!!!
  • I am out in the country (meaning no street lights at all). It's pitch black down the road and for a country road, it seems to have lots of trucks and cars driving by way too fast. I usually run after work - which is quickly approaching twilight hours. I've opted for lighter colored clothes and have a velco arm band that…
  • My first 5k was 43 mins (Sept 8, 2012), 2nd 5k was 33 mins (Oct 8, 2012). I have my 3rd in two weeks with a fellow MFP member. Can't wait!!!
  • Congrats!!!! It's absolutely addicting. I've got my third 5k coming up in two weeks. :drinker:
  • Absolutely amazing difference. My mom commented yesterday about the exact same thing on me. I pulled out my drivers license and was shocked when I saw the difference.
  • I'll have to take some pictures of that wooded area behind our house. My husband made trails through the woods that would be awesome to do the runs in if I weren't so paranoid about twisting an ankle. I'm am so the type of girl who'd be running through the woods from zombies and monsters, only to trip or twist her ankle.…
  • I had quite a bit of knee pain years ago. Xrays showed nothing and it was only when I saw a specialist that they diagnosed it with pathological plica. It's an inflamed band of tissue that wraps around the kneecap. I went through a series of steroid injections under my kneecap (yes, a long needle shoved under my kneecap)…
  • My running area isn't nearly as cool, but you definitely get that isolated apocolypse feeling. I've never posted pics to the forum, so I hope this works...
  • Bread is such a weakness. I used to make a pull apart monterey jack sourdough and homemade brushetta on Italian bread and have had to quit making it because they are both so hard to stop eating.
  • I live in Noblesville and work in Castleton. I run (jog) every other day and do P90X in my garage but am always eager to add a workout buddy to help hold me accountable!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome to the Indiana MFP group! I grew up on a farm, so it wasn't only eating meat & potatoes, it was learning to cook them in every tasty way imaginable. I've been eating healthier for a year now and my family still complains about all the "diet food" I buy and prepare - but they eat it or starve
  • Ok....sounds like you're in the same industry as me....promotional products? Supplier? Distributor?
