plantronics backbeat fit have been the best so far. One thing i really like that i've not seen on any other pair is that when powered up they announce how much life they have left in hours. My powerbeats 3 pair died after a month so wouldn't recommend them.

I have owned about 6 different Garmins and the new 935 is leagues ahead in terms of accuracy and stability. It just does everything you could need and then some.

sometimes you just need a distraction. A leisurely 10 minute walk outside can work wonders.

I have a keiser m3 which is a great bike. I have purchased some commercial spin workouts. Sufferfest do some good ones. There are some free ones on YouTube as well. You could purchase an interval timer such as gymboss and set up an interval such as 2 mins slow, 1 min fast and then use the vibrate alerts whilst watching a…

Well there is no such thing as a healthy tan no matter how good it makes you feel. A tan is damaged skin. That's from the FDA web site. Tan=damaged DNA.

I use a simple counting technique if I feel my mind wanting me to give in. I just count to a 100 and restart again at 1 if I need to keep my mind occupied. I did this for a 10k recently and was able to keep my pace going by focusing my mind elsewhere.

one aspect is boredom. Walking up and down the same step might be ok for a few minutes but you'd go insane trying that for 45mins in one go. Kind of like comparing running on the spot with a treadmill.

i have used digifit icardio app with the polar h7 belt.

i use bodyfat calipers. Not as quick to get a measurement as scales but you get a more accurate result. The electronic scales vary too much based on hydration levels i have found.

As long as you can adjust the resistance then a non Spinning bike should work as a substitute. I've done sufferfest video's on standard gym bikes.

the issue you may have is that crossfit involves a lot of weights hitting your wrist area, such as kettlebells. These will damage any device worn in that area. you can wear a bluetooth chest heart rate strap such as a polar H7 which will pair to your phone and give you a calorie assesement with the polar beat app. for…

kent half marathon oct 16th. It has a lot of hills so i'm going to do a lot of hill training and tough interval training in preparation. This will be my 3rd half this year. half marathon training is a lot more manageable than a full marathon, i don't have the time to do the amount of mega miles that a full marathon…

a stronger core will help your running. I do a kettlebell/sandbag routine in my garage to complement my training.

Logging all calories. Knowing you have to weigh and calculate the calories of the food before eating them and checking you have sufficient calories available is enough to stop any mindless munching for me,

does't matter, just look at the number of steps you have done in a day and use that as your goal for the next day to beat. i recommended a cheap pedometer as you can clip it to your clothes and forget it is on. Steps you do around the house all count and this is where you can become more active. For example, when watching…
