  • I've started this journey a second time this past January. I've lost 25 so far on my journey to lose 86. I merely log my calories, keeping between 1350-1550 calories and keep all my macros within my goal range. My job is moderately active. What has helped me stick to the process is eating whatever I darn well feel like.…
  • Very classy response! If this person is someone who regularly chooses not to participate in your group get-togethers, this shouldn't be too much of an issue. Perhaps this person might choose to join in on those other get-togethers in the future? Maybe the dessert portion of the celebration will be their first. I think you…
  • I have to agree with this. Couples will probably assume they're both included and can't imagine not bring invited as a couple. But if this is a single guest, the fact that it wasn't addressed as " John Doe and guest" should be clearly understood as well. I worked in the wedding industry for years and I remember the concern…
  • I am keeping a food diary as a way to be accountable and honest with myself. If that wasn't my goal I wouldn't be keeping my food diary at all. Just because I do not make it public does not take anything away from that. Besides, if I opened it you'd be pretty disappointed. It's empty. I keep my food diary elsewhere.
  • I was happy to see that Jillian was back this season. Jillian and Bob have always been my favorites. I think it's funny to see the comments of everyone who just want to "punch her in the face". Sounds like you get her! She wants to trigger the fight in those contestants who are whining, whimpering and falling out all over…
  • Met Jeff Dunham after a show in Vegas. Went to school with Jim Abbott, the pitcher with one hand. A friend from high school just won an Emmy. He's an animator for Nicklelodeon, and while he's not a household name by any means, he's worked on shows such as Power Puff Girls, Fairly Odd Parents and currently Tuff Puppy. He…
  • Law and Order SVU is playing in the background. Not really watching though.
  • We have DirecTv and we love it. We've never hadany major issues with reception- we'll lose it once in awhile in severe weather, but we used to lose cable for hours for no explanation. Wouldn't trade them in a heartbeat. Our bill is always the same down to the penny. We don't buy movies or anything. This whole Viacom thing…
  • Didn't We Almost Have It All". - Whitney Houston My turn : " It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me who ends up getting wet. "
  • Interesting article on how it got it's name and a map of regions and what they call it. http://tastyresearch.com/2006/10/05/pop-vs-soda-vs-coke/ Edit:It helps to actually post the link in there...
  • Midwest here and it's pop in my neck of the woods. Though on vacation visiting relatives in Arkansas we always drove into town to get a Coke, and then ordered a Dr. Pepper, so I guess I have enough 'south' in my blood that that seems normal to me. Soda just sounds kind of...formal? Stuffy? Then again, there's that whole…
  • I was with my boyfriend/ husband for nine years before we were married, and I wanted to be married before we had a child. I was 32 when I had my son. A bit weird to have most of the parents at school functions so much younger than myself, but no big deal in the end. The only thing that concerns me is being here well into…
  • I lost 30 pounds in about 4 months back in 2010, going from a size 18 to a size 12. I was around 159 lbs. I found an online calorie counter (elsewhere) and just started logging calories. I ate pretty much whatever I felt like, keeping within the basic macros they provided. I was allowed between 1300-1550 calories. I…
  • 1. Jeff Dunham 2. Catherine Bach ( original Dukes of Hazzard's Daisy) 3. Carol Duvall A friend of mine is a animator at Nicklelodeon and just won an Emmy. I doubt Ernie will become a household name but it's still pretty cool just the same.
  • I have filtration on both our tap and our refrigerator system, so I haven't purchased water in ages. But this is something I've researched before, and surprisingly the cheaper brands get better ratings! http://www.ewg.org/bottled-water-2011-search
  • I'm still a fan of the show, but I did really like the Bob and Jillian combo best. I do like Dolvett, but I didn't care for any of the other trainers they tried. I did notice the last couple of seasons the contestants had a lot more compassion for each other. They were all about who deserved or needed to be there, and…
  • My very first car was a fully restored 1963 Comet Caliente (props to Dad!) and my friends nicknamed it the Batmobile. But I have never named my vehicles. Right now it's "Your van", "My van" and " The truck". If we can't tell them apart by that we got problems.
  • Let's see if this works: Dear Ricky, I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent you. Love, Becky The Marine, with hurt…
  • The app I use to track calories also tracks carbs protein and fat. I like my app because it has a range for each of these, not just one number to meet. Calories in/ calories out is the golden rule, bit I've always felt I've had more success when my macros are met and balanced.
  • Oooh, the accents!! British or Southern please! I find it odd that while Johnny Depp does not make my heart melt so much....captain Jack Sparrow? Strangely enough. It's gotta be the accent. Got into a discussion about sexy men at work. They're listing Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and they're saying I can't disagree with those.…
  • I posted at the end of the part two Twin thread as well, but in case it gets lost I'll post again. 46, female, 5' 4" HW: 209 lbs SW: 207 lbs CW: 201 lbs GW: 129 I thought my goal weight might be rather lofty, but it's amazing to see in the success thread the ppl my size (and larger) have gotten that slim! I would like to…
  • Wow, I've been through both parts of the thread. 40 some pages- trying not to feel lonely here, lol! 46 year old female, but my 11 yr old keeps me young SW: 209 MFP SW: 207 CW: 201 GW: hoping to see 129, but might be easier to maintain in 130s. I'll see when I get there! Please mention the Twin thread if you add me. Thanks!
  • I'm looking at about 80 pounds in the same time frame. Let's do this! Feel free to add me as well!
  • Oops! Instead of an edit I got a double post.
  • Wow. I have never *gasp*'ed at before and after pictures... Until today. : ) Absolutely incredible! You and your wife look wonderful! Congrats to you both!
  • My son watched it when he was younger. It was a cute show. Wasn't it the one with the character Uniquequa? (sp?). I always wondered who came up with that name...and sure enough I now work with a gal named Unique. I for one am SO glad that Yo Gabba Gabba was not on when my son was younger. I think I'd be in the corner…
  • Congrats! Enjoy your new place!
  • Love it! I'm such a TNG geek!
  • Actually, my username is almost completely random.
  • When I was in grade school my parents took my brother and I to some type of fair and we got to meet Catherine Bach, the original Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard. I remember my brother got a kiss on the cheek. We also met The Banana Splits (Old kids show). I thought we had autographed pictures of both, but they're long…
