  • Hi Lindsey. I am currently on week 2 of the T25 workout, and I love it! The calorie burn is great, and the workout is nonstop until the end. I am a BB Coach; however, I always tell it like it is with the workouts. I've done Jillian's workouts too, and I loved those. I also ordered Spartacus, but I didn't think it was…
  • I agree with sweetbippy! I thought I had it figured out, and now I've gained 9.8 lbs. in about 6 weeks! I've been logging, exercising daily, eating somewhat healthy...stayed at an all time low weight for a year then gained the 9.8 recently. Hormones?????
  • I have been thinking about this one. I am one of the older ones here (almost 47), and I've been trying to get toned/fit again. My arms have gotten smaller and more defined; however, they still "jiggle" some. I read an article in one of the magazines a while back, and it said that's why female celebrities hold their arms…
  • Great Job! Amazing results.
  • Awesome success story! You look amazing.
  • Possibly, you are building muscle mass, which weighs more than fat. Check your profile, and make sure you have the setting at the right activity level. Also, I never count calories burned from everyday activities, such as household cleaning, etc. I only count additional exercise. That is what works for me. You are doing a…
  • I love, love, love my little dachshund guy! His name is Kaiser, and he will be 9 in August. I'm adopting another doxie soon. Her name is Ella, and she is 6 years old. Nothing like furbabies! (I also have a daughter that is almost 3, who loves Kaiser too!).
  • My sister-in-law makes an awesome salad with broccoli, cauliflower, and bacon. I'm pretty sure there's some other unhealthy ingredients in it too, like mayo and sugar! lol Google Jillian Michaels. Here site always has some great low cal ideas. I'll check tonight too......after I get the toddler situated.
  • When you set up your MFP accout and chose your goals, did you allow MFP to give you a daily calorie allocation? I am much older than you, but was in a similar situation prior to November. I was exercising 7 days a week, but I could not get below 135 lbs. I am only 5'5". With that being said, I went with the calories MFP…
  • Keep in mind that there is a difference in the way your body uses natural sugar versus refined sugar. If you include natural sugar in the 25 grams, then it is very difficult to strive for. Google Jillian Michaels for info on this. I have read some good articles on her site. She even tells you which fruits to not pick as…
  • Do NOT give up. That would be the easiest thing to do. Take the high road and do what you can do, such as continue to watch what you eat. As you heal, maybe look at a different type of cardio with less knee impact. Cycling? Rowing? I don't know what you like, but try something different, when you are physically able. Most…
  • Sounds great! I plan to try these. Thanks for sharing.
  • Well, for me it didn't happen until 43. I had my first and only child at 43 and gained 75 lbs. I didn't lose any weight for over 10 months, and I had always been an average weight of 130-135 at 5'5". I started back exercising when my daughter was about a year old and finally did get back to pre-baby weight, but it was in…
  • You are on target with your weight loss. Losing about a pound per week is the healthiest way to go. You do not want to restrict your calories below 1200. Is 1200 what MFP recommended? Without knowing your whole story, it is even possible that you are not eating enough.
  • They are not the best fruit choice. According to an article I read by Jillian Michaels, bananas, watermelon and mangos are not the best choices for fruit. While they have health benefits, her article suggested saving them for the occassional indulgence.

  • Most of the information I've read advises against going under 1200 calories a day for a female. Our bodies need a certain amount of calories to function properly. Maybe try to get in some higher calorie fiber at the beginning of the day, such as oatmeal. It may not be a healthy suggestion, but I often mix 1/4 cup of…
  • Mixing up your cardio is best, so your body has to keep adjusting. For me, the elliptical hurts my knees if I stay on for extended times. I think a lot of people say it is better on the joints than jogging, but not for me. Mix it all up, and you will get the most out of your workouts.
