  • Well, not had such a promising start, unfortunately. Really need to fix a time to exercise early in the day so I don't postpone and then feel too tired. Day 1: 30 mins Day 2: 0 Day 3: 20 mins Day 4: 45 mins Day 5: 0 Day 6: Only 90 mins so far. Should have done at least 300 so far. Need to get off my backside and push…
  • This looks good. I really need a kick up the backside when it comes to exercise as I'm always putting it off to the end of the day and then too tired to do anything. I respond well to challenges and group support so hopefully this is exactly what I need. In the 25 days left of September I will commit to 1500 minutes of…
  • HI Chealsea, MrsCaitlin and Yankho. I'm just over 5'1 (that half inch really matters to us shorties ). I started at 177lbs a few years ago, whittled it down to 123lbs and then back up to 156lbs. I've lost about 7lbs in the last 3 weeks and have another 3lbs to go to get to a comfortable 130lbs although ideally, I'd…

  • Are we continuing on this thread or is it better to start a new one with only the members who are currently taking part in the September 2015 challenge?
  • I think this way of eating is more than just a gimmick. It's a proven and tested method of maintaining health, one that has been around for centuries before calorie controlled diets were the norm. We shouldn't just dismiss time-tested methods just because they're different from ours. We have people even on this thread…
  • This whole weekend disgusts me. And it's not even over yet.
  • It's not surprising at all. Something that may be very obvious in your mind may not be as obvious to someone else. Remember that people who post on the forums are at various stages in their weight loss journey and not everyone has read this question being posted here and answered so please, do cut some slack to those who…
  • So, again, how did you get overweight? If you only ate once a day adn it was a 1200 calorie meal, why and how did you get in a position that you need to lose weight?
  • Me too. I guess before they were facing the floor and I couldn't see them and now they're slightly more upright and visible when I look down. :) But hey ho....
  • I started today. I alternated 1 minute of jogging at 6.7mph with 2 mins of brisk walking at 5mph and continued this for the next 30 minutes. It wasn't too bad. However, I only completed 2.7 miles in (4.3km) 30 minutes. Should I try and continue and finish 5km every time, or do whatever I can in my 30 minutes?
  • Actually, the one thing that keeps me going is the desire to have a better formed tummy. Not flat- I don't think I'll ever be flat-but l'd like to be less flabby and wobbly. A slightly rounded, feminine tum would keep me more than happy. The stretch marks- I'll just have to live with. I've realised there's nothing I can do…
  • Oh, so many people to keep us company! Please do post everytime you do it. Tell us your speed, time, and anything else thats relevant. I'm actually really apprehensive of starting. Part of me thinks I'll never be able to finish. Although I have done a 5k before in my life, I've always found cardio hard. And always…
  • Don't listen to the negatives; family can hold you back so much at times. You haven't written how overweight you are but if it's not too much I'd suggest you see how you feel after the baby comes before deciding. As a mother of six, I know the last thing I feel like doing after giving birth is pounding the treadmill. A new…
  • PU_239, hmmm... So what is this magic trick that your 'group' is bound to secrecy by? Come on, spill. Chances are that unless it's a a rigorous program of healthy meals and excercise it's a pseudplan anyway. Dont mind me. I just thought I'd join in the acrimony that's being tossed around the thread. Why do people turn into…
