I am a low carber by choice. It makes me feel much better and I have a lot more energy. This is a personal choice. How much is low carb? I eat somewhere between 17-22 net carbs a day and I found that after the initial week, I didn't crave anything and often have to make myself eat. So I do think that is normal. You can't change it so that it says 20 carbs for the day. You just log it like normal and minus your fiber from your carbs, making sure you dont go over 20. I try and find the foods on here that already say net carbs out to the side.

I am sticking with Adkins at the moment. I know it's not what most people advise, but it works for me and I feel 100 times better eating low carb.

I buy clothes whenever I need them. I think it really helps with the self esteem and really makes you feel good about yourself when you can go in the store and buy smaller clothes. I don't care that I am going to need to buy more clothes in a couple of months, I just bag up the clothes that no longer fit and give them away…

Adkins is not a "no" carb diet. It is a very "low" carb diet. At the beginning you are allowed to eat 20-24 carbs a day and most of that is supposed to come from veggies. But with Adkins, I'm sure they are assuming you are eating protein such as Chicken, Beef or Fish. Which you don't do, so I'm not thinking that Adkins is…

Add me. I am an Adkins follower. I eat 25 or less carbs a day. I did the calorie counting thing with great success, then I plateau'd as well and started Adkins with even more success. I feel much better when I eat less carbs. I used to have acid reflux which disappeared when I stopped eating bread, pasta, rice etc.

I would say no on the Carrots. Loaded with carbs and sugar. You don't eat meat of any kind? Or fish? I'm a low carber and there is no way to eat NO carbs and no sugar. Even vegetables have some carbs.
