  • I love that you are concerned about nutrition and that your child eats healthy. I am a Vegetarian-wanna be. I would be vegetarian, except...some in our family need meat. I serve many vegetarian dishes and offer lots of fruits and vegetables, but out of our six children 3 or 4 of them really NEED meat (my husband needs meat…
  • You both look so much younger. Great job... keep up the good work!!
  • Amen!! We all need to keep a good balance in our lives. Thanks for sharing.
  • Well.... Starting - 140 Week 1 - 138 Week 2 - 142 Week 3 - 139 Goal - 120 Hmmm.. at least it is progress this week. Good to see so many of you here! :)
  • I have to agree with many that you need to increase calories...and that is hard because it will take your body a bit to get used to it, and you may go up a little on the scale. But be patient. I am having the same issue, I have been running for 6 weeks and I am not seeing results on the scale. I do feel stronger and my…
  • I found an interesting article that some of you may enjoy. I am not an experienced runner, so many of you probably know all of this...but it gives some great tips on variety and increased calorie burns. http://beta.active.com/running/Articles/How-to-Burn-More-Calories-on-Your-Run?page=1
  • A pretty good week of running....I left the house this morning in the rain, and almost turned around, but decided to try it. Ten minutes in it stopped raining and was an awesome run (minus running from a couple of dogs lol but that gave me the adrenaline I needed at mile 3 to finish 4 miles haha) One of my miles was under…
  • A little frustrated this week, no alot frustrated, gained the 2 I had lost plus 2 more, so I am up 2lbs from my starting weight. :( 9-14 - 140 9-21 - 138 9-28 - 142 No worries, I am off to a better week!! I have been running a lot and of course eating a alot. (That's my word of the week 'alot') Have a great week guys, keep…
  • I will be joining you, thanks for sharing this Novena.
  • This year has been huge for our family; lost my dad, gained our first grand-baby and a 2nd daughter-in-law So I am just looking forward to soaking in family and feeling comfy in a new pair of jeans. :)
  • Been a great running week. I am doing a marathon training, and decided I needed to back up a week. It felt good to accomplish runs without having to stop, or get frustrated with super slow times. I worked on pacing myself, on one of my shorter runs, I got below 10 min mile average. Unbelievable! but super fun. I also found…
  • Yay! Everyone is doing great. I think even one week is hard to judge. Just keep up what you know you need to do, eat clean and keep moving. Thanks everyone for being here. :) After being stuck....I moved down 2lbs. Wahoo!!! On to week 2.....
  • This is a fun thread. I started C25K on the treadmill last fall, it took me about 6 months to finish. Then I continued running intervals on my own and started running outside. I found a marathon training program that is 28 weeks long, I started about a month ago, it moves very slowly, which is good because so do I!!! I am…
  • Hi everyone...I am happy to be here and get a little more accountability. My name is Theresa...I am 52 years old. I am a stay at home mom of 6, with 3 left at home. I had lost close to 50lb and have gained back about 20 :/ (lots of family stuff) So I am here to get rid of that 20 before Christmas. Last fall I started C25K.…
  • A little late....Starting week 0 at 140
  • I'm in too. It's a great challenge!! See you all on Saturday!!
  • Good for you! Congratulations! I love C25k!!! I have done some of the same things you have, cried cause I couldn't finish a day, felt overjoyed when I ran 20 minutes and started over several times. I did the first C25k on the treadmill, then started over outside when the weather got nice. I am now running 5k consistently 4…
  • My experience has been that broken down or the wrong type of shoe causes shin splints, and getting a good pair of shoes always helped. The more you exercise the more important your shoes become. Hopefully that helps. :)
  • Very Cool!! Thanks for sharing. You are an inspiration!
  • Fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing, you are an awesome inspiration.
  • Thank you for a beautiful reflection! Suffering is a matter of faith and perspective. What an incredible perspective you shared.
  • You look fabulous! What an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
  • These are all great ideas and thanks so much for all the links. We homeschool our kids, I have three girls left at home and we try to do some sort of meditation, readings or prayers every morning during or after breakfast during lent. We also try to 'give up' something, but it is often tv, extra computer time or something…
  • Thanks for all your reflections. It is good to read and help me prepare for my own Lent. I sometimes struggle with it, I either set myself up for failure with too high expectations, or I avoid it. I pray everyone's Lent is a growing experience. God bless you.

  • That is a great story! Thanks for sharing it. It is cool that you have people around you to support you and that you trust to walk with you on your journey. Keep up the good work, you will be doing another cartwheel very soon!
  • Thank you for sharing that story. What an awesome experience. God sends the right people into our lives when we need.
  • Patience, just as everyone has said. You will see results if you keep working. Keep in touch with friends and find out what works for them. Then use that knowledge and experience to do what works for you. This is a great site for support, so many people working very hard to be healthy. Have a great day!!
  • Welcome, this is a great place to be for motivation and there are many, many people who can share their stories of success (and struggles) with you to help you along the way. I have been here about a year. I have lost about 30 lbs and would like to lose another 20. (I gained 10 back which is frustrating, but I think if you…
