Agree. I am having swelling issues after breast cancer surgery and radiation treatments last yr. My cardiac numbers are so awful I am ripe for a heart attack or as they put it in their notes, "cardiac event". All that junk food has saturated fats, sugars, salt, that are not good for your cardiac & overall health. I do…

One day or even many days, I still know that I have a goal. Really focus on good things you did that day or what you got done that week. Sometimes you are "on the road", had no time to plan, holiday's, lack of sleep (one of my issues which drives me to eat), etc...and you will have days that are off. It is just reality.…

Switch to diet. I am drinking diet caffeine free coke and using Splenda in my coffee. I also am a drinker of calories and I finally had to switch. It is all or nothing with me. I also drink carbonated water to mimic the "soda drink" sometimes.

I am in the thick of it with stress and right there with you OP. Good Luck to you! We can do it.

Since you are asking, I am going to tell you "Supernatural". Started long ago and still on TV. You can catch it on Netflix, I do believe. Good music, good killing of evil. Plus as you advance in the series they mock themselves and place some comedy here and there. There is nothing they cannot do, it is hysterical.

Hi! You can add me. I am turning 52 this yr. Last yr was heck beyond all reason for me healthwise. I need to lose at least 30.
-
Oh yes. I was assuming she was drinking the 2Liters at work instead of eating. If that is the case you have to replace those calories.
-
Oh good. It is hard to tell from posts you know.

No, you did not word yourself wrong, we get it, totally 100%. BTDT and still going. You have to make changes and it is not easy. The psychological term for refusing to make those changes is called "cognitive rigidity". Knowing a thing, can give you power over it. If you know that you are rigid then inform yourself of ways…

Oh boy do you hit it where it hurts. JOINING.... I have beat this thing in the past! I drank water instead of eating. This go round, I am having a harder time with breaking this habit. I am seriously considering getting locks for my pantry for my husbands snacks. Unfortunately my stat is... Me 0 LNS 2

So, what you are describing is yourself in almost a psychotic state. That is a really tough one to get out of without drugs as I am sure you are aware. I would tell you to do biofeedback, meditation/breathing exercises many times a day right now. If you have a smartphone, you can download apps. Invest in some cheap…

It is really tough out there. The pop addiction is strong, for sure. I quit smoking easily compared to quitting soda and I have been trying for many years to quit soda. Switching to diet soda is a must if you drink it. I have done that in the past and it works. I think I need to heed my own words, lol. I have weight to…

I cut back the breakfast and lunch calories and then cut out most "snacks". It has taken many months to get to this place. It was hard but I was a BIG lunch and breakfast eater (easy for me to do 600cals) which just left me no room in the evening. Keep at it. You will figure out what works for YOU!

Yea, you have to weigh your food with a scale in grams to be more accurate. If you are that hungry after work, I would try and add more protein/fat to lunch to help you with the hungries. It takes time to get into a rhythm that works for you.

Cleaning. When the house is clean, I am more relaxed.

My waist is 37".

Just keep at it. Losing 22lbs can take some time. I am there with you. It is as slow as molasses.
-
Do you have a food scale? Do you weigh your food and log it into your diary? The obvious choice is to fit the "sweets" into your calorie count. Tough to do with homemade treats to begin with. However, if you want to lose weight you have to start logging your calories.
-
I see you only have 22lbs to lose. When you only have that amount to lose you have to be SUPER tight with logging. You have to weigh everything by grams and I mean everything.
-
I would not count a single calorie if I was going to France! Have FUN!!!
-
It takes time to get things going, esp. when you have young kids in the mix and are on a tight budget. Don'y beat yourself up and keep at it.

I have had to lower my breakfast and lunch calories to save room for a snack at night. It is so easy for me to eat 500+ calories for breakfast. As much as I tried to make that work, (because I LOVE breakfast), I could not sustain that type of eating and lose weight. I had to change it up. So do tweaking and figure out a…

You could lose weight in two months for sure. Do it safely by eating healthy and calorie counting.
-
I feel for you except I am 50 and almost in full menopause. My TDEE is the same...so LOW, it does suck. I did take a break for 2 months. I did not go crazy but I had to take a break from logging. It did help me get back on track. You will figure it out.
-
Oh yea. You have to be TIGHT with calories and need strength for your muscles so you do not look like jello.
-
Can't forget to raise the eyebrow...lol. I totally can to that way of thinking. I will be using this on others. OP, at this point in my life, I just do not waste my time of breath on ignorant people. I would have shrugged and say oh, and disengaged. That pisses them off more because they are looking for a tussle with you.
-
So what are your symptoms? Throwing up, reflux, diarrhea? I had my gallbladder out 15yrs ago and now I have reflux.
-
It looks to me as if you are eating more calories than you think. The things you are logging are really subject to large errors with calculation of how many calories are in them. Eating out is really tough and unless you are preparing it yourself it is very difficult to be accurate.
-
Same here. I will say though I have had 2 colonoscopies with precancerous polyps removed in the past. I am an advocate of not waiting until you are 50 to get a colonoscopy. I am due for another one this yr.

I have found that I have to skip a "meal". So for example for me, coffee for breakfast then I have a late "brunch" and then dinner. This is any day I am not working.
