Not sure how this math was calculated. I have lost 20 pounds on this plan. My days all average 400 to 600 calories more than this when I checked them. I am focusing on the nutritional aspects of what I eat and it works for me.

I have lost 20 lb on this and have several friends that also lost significant weight on the plan. I believe the premise of eating 5 times a day keeps your metabolism going. I no longer crave sugar or any of the other limited foods.

Tonya, absolutely right about Mondays. There is something about the Monday to Friday routine that make it easier to stick to healthy eating. My lack of work day routine, added to fall comfort foods is making it hard for me these days. The days have turned cold and shorter giving me excuses not to be out walking as well. I…

Yesterdays hike to the top of South Mountain. Lake Pawtuckaway in the distance. this is from the top of the fire tower. My BF John. View of foliage 3 mile hike from the road to the top. The last 100 feet the hardest as it was climbing over rock at a steep grade, but as you see the view was fabulous. I can not wait to do it…

Seehe, love the costume. Halloween is such fun, a chance for all of us to be a kid again and make others smile. I am sorry to hear about your foot troubles and hope the shoes help. I have always been one to say spend the $$ and get properly fit good shoes. I may be frugal in other areas by shopping at the thrift shop, but…

Laurie is a friend of mine from high school and actually a distant cousin. I know she will be a great asset to the group. Welcome aboard Laurie!

Tammy thank you for the great post. I believe all points are very true. I know people who to me it looks like they are constantly eating, in fact are eating a snack between each meal. These friends do not have a weight problem, but are keeping there metabolism running on high. A huge congratulations on all your success, it…

Well Hello Ladies. It is time for me to get back in the game as the saying goes. You may recall I was rather devastated after loosing my job a few months back and dropped off the grid for a while. I spent the summer throwing myself into volunteer work with the church, taking some classes, updating my resume' and…

Well, Mother nature finally flipped that swich and replaced a week of cold rainy weather with 2 beautiful spring days so far this week and summer weather to follow by the end of the week. I was able to finish getting my garden planted & take my visiting friend for a nice walk along the river before taking her to meet the…

Janet, OMG you look fabulous! Your dress is perfect & you are glowing. What a transformation, I would not have recognized you. I am sure you had a wonderful time. Snooozie,I know you will sleep well tonight in your new bed. It is quite a chore to move the furniture and do the heavy cleaning, but also provides us with a…

Susan love the card & TY for sharing, I can relate in many ways. My 19 yo son treated his grandmother and I to lunch on Mother's day. Not a fancy restaurant, but none the less it was a treat to be appreciated and yes they will allways need their mothers. I heard the other day my son was talking about money and stated he…

Aww, thank you everyone for all your support. I am trying to take a little time to figure out the direction life will take me. My 85 yo mother who tends to be high maintance as you know, seems to have taken my current work situation well. When I first told her gave me "this will not sound good on your resume", but now…

Thank you for sharing your story Susan. It looks like a great party, nice viist with Mom & such fun researching the family history. Those are them memories to keep close to your heart. Every family has it's drama, just hold your head high & take it from it's source. Here is a quote from Mother Teresa that I just love.…

Just wonderful weather here in New England today. I got 2 long walks in & lots of outside chores done. Patio furniture out, garden area cleared & ready for my neighbor to till for me,and grass cut. It feels great to have all these chores done. TArnold, I bet you are walking with an extra skip in your step after getting…

Susan, yes a beautiful picture and tell us more of your story. Family pictures like the one you posted are priceless. So many people do not make the efffort to take them. Carol, I do not know about the "trusted agent" I have never heard of it. I would wait unitll closer to fall to get the best price on the fall stuff. Think about supply & demand. Fall/winter stuff on clearance now in the stores & everyone looking for summer clothes. Another tip from me I started and ended my auctions on…

Carol, the pay pal site will walk you thru setting up an account. Any money you make will stay with pay pal untill you request it. I tied my pay pal account to my checking account, then when I requested pay pal would transfer it to my checking account. Ebay I believe has tutorials that walk you thru the process or you…

I have sold a lot of stuff on e-bay & it really is quite easy. I do think your shipment should be quicker. I usually sent my stuff out the following day. Buyers review you and will want items they purchaced delivered quickly. Being noted as a fast shipper will make your items more sought after. When setting your prices it…

I think my son was either 4 or 5. He asked me to put some deer in his hair (to tame a rather unruley cowlic)

Hello all, I hope you did not forget me. I took a leave of absence from MFP for a bit when overwhelmed with my Mom's issues. She seems more stable now, but now I have a major life change. I was let go of my job of 12 years yesterday. Basically I was made a scape goat/example for other employees. On Monday of this week put…

I want to thank all my Hatter friends for all your support over the past year. Unfortunately I am now finding it difficult to offer all of you the love and support you all deserve and no longer feel worthy of being a member of the group. Demands of caring for my mother and work are draining all my time. Work is giving me a…

Latest news is now 40 homes are considered in danger on the island I have been telling everyone about. 10 currently condemed with a couple of them to be torn down this week.

Jonny, I did a cruise with those same ports a few years back. Grand Cayman was my favorite stop. It is a very clean beautiful island. Are you going on a NCL ship? They are my favorite. I did the C25K program a year ago & found it very easy to use. Repeat weeks when you need and before you know it you will be amazed at your…

Good luck with the olives Snooozie. I can not learn to like them. "Olives look like eye balls" has long been a saying of mine. Great choice on heros Seehe.

Time2, I do not know what happened, but glad to see you are still here. Snooozie, Seehe & Hairspray seem to be rocking this weight loss thing, but it seems some of us, myself included are not seeing movement from the scale. I have been making healthy choices for the most part & just had my blood work repeated. Lab work all…

Has anyone heard from Janet? I know she was not feeling well & looks like she has not posted in a few days. Hope all is ok. Mom had the pacemaker put in yesterday. She is doing well & should be home later today. Kathy

Seehee, sorry about the scale issue, but how are you feeling & how are your cloths fitting? I had this issue last summer, so stopped weighing in on a regular basis. I now am paying for it with weight gain over the holidays. On my way to the hospital in a few minutes. From my conversation with the nurse a few minutes ago it…
