  • Trying my best to stay on track. I just finished and handed in my Master’s dissertation. So I have been celebrating (by eating) and also on holiday (lots of eating). I haven’t been running either in a month or so. Really need to build the motivation to go out there and do it at least once a week.
  • A bit like me - I am also up and down. Was at 166 yesterday, today weighed in at 168. I am using an app called Happy Scale also because it evens out your weight because of scale fluctuations.
  • Managed to lose 1 lb this week, despite it being my birthday on Thursday and treating myself. 😊
  • Hi everyone! After weighing in this morning, I have managed to get back to my loss before the holiday. So everything back on track. Now at 168.25. I was really hungry last night and ended up having to get up in the night and have something to eat. So I am thinking of upping my calories to 1420 a day - which is what MFP…
  • So finally got the courage to weigh myself after the holiday and I am back to the starting weight, so put back on everything I lost last week. Hopefully can lose again this week!
  • Lost about 1.3 lbs last week! But went on holiday on Friday - yesterday, so I think I have put it back on and then some! Back again to keeping diary at 1200 and getting in my running despite the heatwave 😫
  • For those who say their weight goes up - Are you guys still losing weight in general? I started using the app happy scale which suggests to weigh in every day, so it can predict the trend. But it seems like all the time I am up, only one day did it show a loss.
  • I am back on the 0.5 lbs down - so now 169.5. My goal was to be 2 lbs down a week, as I am eating 1200 per day. I wonder if it’s because I have not really been eating my exercise calories back. But instead just leaving them.
  • Hi everyone! Reaching my goals has been quite good, except for this Friday and Sunday, I went out to eat and wasn’t very good at judging how much I ate. I also did maybe 3 hours of walking, so I didn’t count that as I didn’t know how many calories I burnt. 🤨 Besides that - last Thursday I had lost 0.5 lbs, but since then…
  • Hi again everyone! Just checking in - it’s been a good week so far: met the 1200 goal, been for a run and also went to zumba class yesterday. Hopefully the weekend goes ok - going to a street food event tonight, so will have to be careful not to indulge.
  • Oh it’s so nice to meet someone in the same boat! I think I just kept telling myself I have enough stress without dieting but in the last month all my clothes have stopped fitting me, so I want to at least be able to wear my old clothes again 🤦‍♀️
  • Hello! Would love to join too! I have been writing my masters thesis for the past year and let my weight get way ahead of me. I was usually always around 150 and wanting to get to 125, but just had the shock this morning of finding out stress of thesis has led me to get up to 170 lbs. So I would love to join and be held…
  • I'm 24, looking to lose 25 lbs - I managed to do it a couple of years ago but put it all back on
  • I think the aches are normal with the 30 day shred - it doesn't mean you are weak - it's your muscles working. I remember when I did it having leg pain the days after. Then once that was gone, it was arm pain. Try putting ice on your legs or taking a few days rest.
  • It wasn't from nothing, I was doing 30 minutes, then 35, then 45. I just got up to an hour after several months.
  • Hello, I am a runner too - I just started doing 1 hour runs every other day - I have been doing them for about a month now. At the moment taking a forced break as I have hurt my left thigh running. I think I must have missed doing a proper stretch before or after a run - as I have been running for over 3 years now.
  • Usually I would agree with you but I got to a point last year where I was pushing myself too much because I thought every run needed to be really fast, I ended up not completing the runs and feeling really demotivated. For me, slowing down didn't mean having grannies able to walk past me, but just slow enough that I wasn't…
  • How is this class? They have it at my gym but I'm a bit scared to do it because of the weights. I have been lifting dumbbells by myself in the free weights room instead - so far just 3kg is highest I can do. I have absolutely no arm strength, which is what I am working on.
  • I wouldn't look at brands but more what you need it for and how they fit you. I always end up with Karrimor despite trying on Nike and all the others.

  • I had that when I was at my lowest weight too - I think it has something also to do with what you are wearing and if it's tight - for example wearing a tight push up bra might add to it, whereas another type of bra won't.
  • Don't feel embarrassed. I felt awful and anxious going running and I was never significantly overweight - I still thought people would stare or laugh at me when I first started. You just have to bite the bullet. I still get people looking at me and teenage boys shouting at me or whistling, etc. Or people laughing at me. I…
  • Yes please let us know what the results are after. I've also been finding it hard to lose weight since getting the implant. I should be at end of my 3 years this Christmas, so I am planning on just getting it taken out. I had problems with my period being super painful all my life, so I was hoping it would lessen pain or…

  • I modified stuff too and I wasn't obese, just not able to do all the non-stop jumping and push ups in the world. Is the first month going ok for you? Because I found that by the end of first month I was able to do all the exercises (even my modified push ups) in time without being exhausted. The max part is a struggle, but…

  • The symptoms sound kind of like low iron, if you think you're missing a nutrient. I would tell a doctor your symptoms and just get a blood test to be sure - none of us are experts.
  • I found running for weight loss the only thing that I consistently lost weight with. (I enjoy eating so wanted more calories to play with.) I tried other things like Jillian Michaels and Insanity also, my strength improved and my endurance for running was really good from insanity, but I gained weight. I guess probably a…
