Desk job here too. I'm planning on walking to work, taking the stairs up to my floor and going to the gym after work. I find it easy to avoid the office snacks if I have already pre-planned my food for that day.

I just moved to Canada a few months ago! Toronto :) Anyone know a good place to buy a decent weighing scale? I tried one from Walmart and another from Canadian Tyre but they both add on pounds/take away pounds if I weigh myself a few seconds later!

Do they have classes you can go to? I find that a half hour class goes much quicker than when I work out on the treadmill for half an hour. If not, I find the time goes quickest on the treadmill when I do one minute sprint and one minute walk because I have to keep switching between speeds.

Listen to music... try and zone out and imagine myself somewhere else. I love watching TV when I'm at the gym but most of the time when I'm working out, there is nothing interesting on tv.
