I started at the very end of April of this year, and have lost the weight in about 7 1/2 months. The one photo that shows me in April isn't showing unfortunately : ( The one of me on the bicycle is actually after about 2 1/2 months from when i started and I had already lost quite a bit of weight.

I get 1200 daily calories without exercise so I know how challenging this can be! I really make an effort to add extra calories by exercising daily. The most I can burn in an hour is about 750 calories and that is with very intense, non-stop cardio with tough intervals- My weight is currently 222, so unless someone is much heavier, I don't know how they could get to 1000 calories per hour.
