  • Stomach problems are common when drinking tea on an empty stomach, but I haven't heard of people getting headaches.
  • Look up the cider in the database and treat it like any other food. Angry Orchard has 210 calories per bottle, so it might set you back for the day, but a cheat day once in a while isn't such a terrible thing as long as you're diligent the rest of the time.
  • The others have already said that it's probably due to eating too much, but don't be too disheartened because a lot of that weight gain is probably water weight. If you get your diet back on track it should come off fairly quickly. High sodium foods can also cause you to retain water weight more than normal.

  • I'm copying this from the tea discussion site I use. Basically, don't worry about maximizing health benefits because there is very little concrete evidence in that field, and there's a whole lot of nonsense used to sell low quality teas for exorbitant prices. Just drink the type of tea you like the way you like, and enjoy…
  • My Upton tea order finally came today, so I'm done with bagged tea for a while. I really love the gunpowder green tea that came in the sampler. I steeped it four times and it seemed to get better with each cup. Also, 125 grams is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I don't know how I'll finish all the rooibos and…
  • Like others have said, I do cheat meals rather than cheat days. I still am in a caloric deficit by the end of the day most of the time. I generally reserve them for nice restaurants or really good home-cooked meals.
  • I haven't had loose leaf tea in a long time. I got into tea through Teavana but don't shop there any more due to how overpriced it is. I ordered a Rooibos, an Oolong, and a Green sampler from Upton Tea and that should arrive on Saturday or early next week. While I wait for those to arrive, I'll continue to drink from my…
  • I'm very lax. I usually log everything, but I mostly eyeball the volume rather than using a scale. It's worked well for me so I'm not planning on changing any time soon. I eat out with my family and eat food cooked by others quite often, so weighing is often impractical.
  • The cans I have say "White Albacore" so I think that entry will work for what you've got.
  • I only started eating maintenance a few weeks ago, but I've been getting less hesitant about it as I've seen my weight stay in an acceptable range. Sometimes I feel like I should be gaining weight rapidly when I'm eating what feels like so much more than when I was cutting, but that weight never comes.
  • I like weighing daily or at least a few times a week. I like lots of data and stats, but it definitely wouldn't be advisable for someone who worries about the daily fluctuations that are inevitable.
  • Research Intermittent Fasting. Lots of people have gotten results with it.
  • Well your body does use calories to keep your temperature regulated in lower temperatures. Perhaps there's some sort of evolutionary response making you want to to eat more as winter draws near to prepare for the lower availability of food during the colder parts of the year.

  • I've only done it once and really wouldn't care to do it again. I felt like crap all day.
  • Skydiving Snorkeling/SCUBA diving on a nice reef. See a peregrine falcon See the milky way from a nice dark-sky site Go to space- hopefully reasonably priced commercial space flights become a thing during my lifetime. I'd also like to walk on the moon.
  • Yes, it all boils down to calories, but cutting out simple carbohydrates like bread, pasta, and rice is a very easy way to stay within your calorie limits. I like my carbs so I don't give myself such restrictions, but on days when I have less of them I feel like I have to almost force myself to eat more just so that I…
  • I've recently been eating a lot of cottage cheese. There are low fat variants and it is very high in protein. I get the type with pineapple in it, so all that added sugar probably has a decent amount of carbs. It does probably need to be refrigerated. I hated cottage cheese before finding this pineapple variant(publix…
  • I don't use fitbit, but I connect the runkeeper app to MFP so I'll assume they work the same. If it is logging the exercise by itself automatically, I wouldn't manually enter anything because that would cause double entries. It should be simple enough to check your exercise page to see where it adds that entry.
  • I don't hate cooking, but I'm generally so lazy that I don't do it very much. I really like my slow cooker. It can be as simple as dumping a bunch of ingredients into the pot, turning a dial, and waiting until it's ready. Many recipes call for browning meat on the stove first. This improves the taste, but isn't absolutely…
  • I'm 23 and have had no problem losing weight. As long as you aren't planning on dying in the next few weeks, it's never too late, no matter how old you are.
  • I love walking. I don't walk fast enough to get a cardio workout (that comes from the bike at the gym) but I still burn plenty of calories with it.
  • Feel free to add me. I'm into all of those things.
  • I'm studying computer engineering at Florida Atlantic University. I should graduate next year.
  • The term sushi just refers to the vinegared rice, so chicken can be used in sushi.
  • Diablo 2, Titan Quest, Path of Exile. Those types of games are my go-to genre, although I play a pretty wide variety.
  • West Palm Beach here
  • I think it can be a useful tool as long as you're not too muscular. I looked at BMI charts when picking out my goal weight for this cut. I'm still going primarily by how I look, but having a numerical goal is nice too.
  • As others have said, all you need to lose weight is a caloric deficit. If you want to get some exercise in as well, I would recommend getting some adjustable dumbbells to keep at home. You can get a good workout with those with around 20-30 minutes of work three days a week, and that time doesn't need to be consecutive.
