I definitely understand how you feel. I have been plagued by this for most of my life. There is hope and a way out. You will find a lot of support on here!!

This is great advice!! I've been at CF for about 6 months now and this is how I view it too. In the beginning, I would often feel depressed b/c I could not do what the others were doing. I almost quit and gave up b/c of that. Thank goodness I didn't!! Now I can look back and be amazed at my own progress and I can look…

Just b/c you can't RX a WOD does not mean you can't do Crossfit. I will probably never RX most of the WODS. I have arthritis in my left knee and a small meniscus tear I was told by the orthopedic surgeon is not worth doing surgery over. I get on the rowing machine a lot of times instead of doing the running. My coach is…

Thanks everyone for your amazing and encouraging responses! I wish I could reply to each and every person that has commented here! The fact that you took the time to leave me a comment means the world to me. I have found that it is in supporting and encouraging others where we find strength for our own journey as well. I…

Congratulations on your progress!! We are eating Christmas dinner at a friends house so we will have no tempting leftovers to deal with! Also, they are cooking brisket which is very safe for me to eat. For me, it's not worth it to step too far outside the zone. I end up paying for it and it often makes me want to keep…

I have to be extremely careful eating out b/c of the sauces they put on things. Since a lot of things have hidden sugar and I don't eat that, I could easily end up eating something that will set me off and make me crave for days afterwards. So I have a few basic things that most every restaurant will have and I just stay…

Sounds like you put together an awesome battle plan!! I would have echoed what others already said. I love that you prepared your foods in advance. Having my food with me is the only way to get through it. If I don't have prepacked safe food, I could get screwed up very quickly. Also, I always pack shakes wherever I go. I…

It sounds like a lot to me. That is awesome. Planks are killer!! AMAZING!!!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are a strong woman. To have to go through what you have been through really brings me tears. I am so sorry. I am inspired by you very much. Thanks for sharing your story

To the person who said that I am not a good example to young people b/c I had weight loss surgery and that I am saying "weight loss surgery is the way" Let me clarify. I am not saying weight loss surgery is the way. I disclosed that I had weight loss surgery b/c I am an honest person and that is part of my story If the…

Thanks everyone!!! Your comments are so overwhelmingly awesome!! This is such a wonderful blessing to hear all your replies. I can't tell you how much you made my day!! I look forward to following all of your journeys as well. I know we can conquer this! Even during the holiday season where food seems to be everywhere! My…

I use to be on the heaviest medication possible for anxiety disorder without being hospitalized. Exercise has played a key role in helping me to control the anxiety and panic. When I don't exercise, it creeps back in. I still struggle with it but I can tell you t hat regular exercise has done more for me than medication.…

I can relate to that!! Exercise plays a major role in controlling this. Daily exercise really makes a difference and keeps me more mentally able to control that. It really does help improve your mood as well. In addition to this, I pray a lot!! I have to pray my way out of a pan of brownies or a box of donuts on a regular…

It's definitely an issue for many including myself. But there is hope out there!! Medication never worked for me unfortunately but it's a good thing they are recognizing it finally!

In this case, I put pepperoni slices on a plate topped with shredded cheese and microwave it. Then I eat it with a fork. Unfortunately, I am not capable of eating only one slice of pizza so this is how I handle it. Good lucK!

Great plans for the future!! Exercise and sticking to the food plan will definitely work! Sounds like an awesome plan!

I agree with the Leslie Sansone recommendation. I started out using her 1 mile video and at the time I could only do b/t 30 seconds- 1 minute at first. Then I just kept increasing every day until I finally made it to the mile. She has a lot of choices too and I know for a fact they work!

Welcome!! CF does have some haters but just ignore them :)

I go 5 days a week and depending on what the WODs are that week I may be more sore than usual or less sore than usual. However, I'm never not sore. I had a really bad week last month where I felt a little bit like crying every day. I was so sore I could barely lift my arms. That was the worst week yet. Overall, I've…
