hahaha My real name is Jennifer, but I usually use Gwynhyffar or Gwyn when I'm online (there are a lot of Jennifers in the world).

Hello from Memphis! I'm new to this board, but thought I would jump in with my August goals (even though it's already the 7th). Stay on keto Bring lunch to work 2x/week (I work from home two days, so that's one day I'm allowing myself to eat something else) Swim minimum of 4x/week See downward movement, not upward movement…

Congratulations!

One small addition to what's already been said: I recommend you wear sweats or a loose fitting dress to the hospital. You do NOT want to have to put on jeans to ride home in. I had very little pain, but jeans would have been very uncomfortable. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a book or tablet with you. I didn't do much…

Wow! You've lost a lot of weight! You almost look normal.

Sleeve surgery changed my life 100% for the better. Welcome to the group and good luck on your journey!

I make Nutella and strawberry crepes :)

Like you, I can eat a ton of crappy food like chips, candy, etc. If I wanted to, I could probalby eat a whole bag of chips and be okay. I would feel a little blah, but it wouldn't make me sick. One protein I can eat a TON of is shrimp! Luckily it's very low fat :) For about six months after surgey I couldn't eat eggs. Now…

You may not be ready to move to puree. Are you able to keep liquids down? Do you notice a difference in cold vs warm? Are you eating very slowly? Immediately after surgery, your stomach is very swollen and needs time to heal. It typically takes about six weeks, but the stages of recovery differ for everyone. I would…

Ha, yes! My other favorite is when someone appoints themselves as your monitor. "Are you allowed to eat that?"

Love this, and YES ME TOO!!!

I use it occasionally as a meal replacement - primarily breakfast. I drink the chocolate ones from their high protein (20 g), low carb (4 g) line. Not all shakes are created equally, so if you decide to try the shakes make sure you know what you're getting into.

Just put fennel on it.. a good layer of it.. and grill.

I didn't read all of the posts here, but I spoke with a nutritionist about biotin about a year ago. It will not stop your hair from falling out, but it encourages regrowth and strengthens the follicle. It also helps with nail strength. Good luck!

One of my favorite books of all time :)

I started at size 26. I'm now (depending on the brand) 16 to 18.

Did you try the pouch test? I would be interested in hearing how it went. I've been thinking of doing it too.

I did a lot of different cream soups, and even did some mixing and matching. If you get some cheese soup, you can mix it with chicken, tomato, potato or broccoli to make a different sort of taste. Be careful to strain or blend the pieces, but otherwise that's what kept me going. I found I only needed about 1/4 cup to fill…

I had a verticle sleeve gastrectomy last December. It's been a long road this year, but so far I have lost 110 pounds. You didn't say which surgery you are having. This site has been great for me for tracking my food and exercise and has realy helped me stay on track post-op. Good luck to you and I would be happy to help…

I order from Harney and Sons pretty regularly. In the evening, I love the Tilleul they offer. It's light, refreshing, and responds really well to honey. I also like the bamboo, which is a slightly different sort of taste, but great for when you don't want caffeine.

I don't suffer from this personally, but my mom does. She really struggles with it and can't leave things like pie or cake in the house because she never knows when she'll get up in the middle of the night and eat a piece or three. She doesn't have much memory when it happens either, but she'll see the containers or…

I get this a lot too. I live in North Dakota.

This thread is calling my name. I'm fairly certain my real parents (elves, of course) will show up any day now to reclaim me!

I bet that would be awesome with shrimp too!
