Hello fellow Ozarkian! Congrats on the health improvement!

I'm a cancer patient too, staying positive will help your experience--my cancer team said that the ones who do the best have the best attitudes. No doubt it sucks, ports, chemo, surgery and radiation ugh but there's nothing better than being a survivor =) Hang in there!

Great job! You must feel amazing, it shows =)

I can totally relate to this....I'm in a constant battle to just not to continue gaining---Thyroid issues are tough. Before my partial thyroidectomy I would swing to the hyper side and drop weight but that doesn't happen anymore =(

What a great feeling it is too! Welcome to the 200's--going for 199 here =)
-
Awesome job! My friend and I have conversations all the time about the moderate approach and how it is much healthier mentally to not beat yourself up. You have already won! You have gained the knowledge and strength to persevere! Congrats!

Not going back that is the goal, that's why this is not a "diet" for me--those are temporary and I'm not doing this for temporary results =)

327lb currently 291 =) out of the 3's at least--I'm trying the this is how I live approach, changing lifestyle habits slowly so they stick; I've been here since the end of May and it goes slow for me but I think it's going to be better for me in the long run. Don't get discouraged you can do it!

Success in the making here-- Had Partial Thyroidectomy in '09 finally after someone would listen to all my symptoms. On medication and working hard. Slow process but I've lost 35 lbs and working towards a goal of a 129lbs lost. 43 yrs old and 5'8

She may not be eating enough; or she is actually eating more than she thinks she is. She needs to measure and write everything down. Now for the other evil, hormones--they can thwart the most faithful; have her thyroid checked; along with adrenals and female hormones. I myself deal with thyroid problems and my weight loss…

Ad me as a friend if you would like; I'm a consistent logger =) I started out at 327 been here since May and have lost 19lbs. I workout regular each week and log everything (even the bad). I don't beat myself up, I've already been mean enough to let myself get this way. Slow and steady always wins! =D

I'm at 112mcg synthroid, I notice mini plateaus in my weight loss and I lose at a slower rate than others I see on here. But that's no biggie to me. I've lost 15lbs in 2 months so I'm happy. I've been keeping my calories between 1600-1850 depending on how hard I hit it at the gym. I have a long way to go--I need to lose a…

Great posts, I have enjoyed listening to them all. Another thing that is kind of an Ah ha moment for me is when I see persons who are afflicted with terminal disease and I think what am I doing? I just have a thyroid problem, I have something that can be worked on and controlled, stop feeling sorry for yourself and do…

Great responses here! Oh and if anyone wants to add me I plan on being around for a while....:glasses:

Health is a big motive for me as well, pre-diabetic scares me to death since diabetes runs in my family. I completely get looking at the chair to make sure its big and sturdy enough to hold my over 300lbs. Not being able to find clothes in my size off the rack is disappointing especially when I go with friends shopping and…

I can completely understand the pants, I have been down to one pair before and even though I want to buy some new ones, can't find a store that sells my size. I do miss roller coasters, there are several ones at Silver Dollar City I would love to get on, but I just don't fit.....
-
I'm on the journey as well add me if you like =)
-
Wow great job! I completely know where you are coming from! Keep up the progress posting it is inspiring.

My Dr. said no to generic; I was asking because of the price difference, but I don't want to have any more ups and downs than I already do! I've been reading a lot about Armour and Naturethroid; I don't have many options though with lack of Dr's in my insurance network...
