I would log them as Pilates, since that is an option. And I total agree with all the comments out there about how easy Cassey is to watch and exercise with. She's so likable! You almost forget how hard some of the workouts are!

LOVE THIS THREAD!!! Thanks to all for sharing their 'bad' consequences of losing weight / getting in shape / improving their health. I think all mine were mentioned already!

^^^^^ THIS about the wedding dresses -- totally! Ever watch "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC? My daughters and I have watched it, and seen girls that are at least size 16, some as big as 20 (I say this affectionately, not long ago I was one of those sizes). . . squeezing into a strapless, midriff hugging dress, boobs and…

Thank you for posting this excellent response to a very uninformed (dare I say ignorant?) previous response!!!

^^^^^THIS!!! (x 10)

^^ This. The Pledge was so disappointing -- total waste of time.

Now there's a visual. . . as Chris Wallace would say, "Thanks for that!" For me, commando rules when it comes to working out. Way better than a wedgie.

OP: Listen to this response, it's FULL OF EXCELLENT ADVICE!

This explanation of the meaning of cup sizes and band sizes is utter NONSENSE! :noway:

According to the Collins Concise English Dictionary, "anorexia" does indeed mean JUST "loss of appetite." "Anorexia NERVOSA," on the other hand is " a disorder characterized by fear of becoming fat and refusal of food, leading to debility and even death."

My husband had a biometric screening in Dec 2011, where his blood pressure was 146 / 100. We switched to using good quality sea salt (Redmond's Real Salt, or Celtic Sea Salt, taking a kelp supplement to avoid iodine deficiency.) On the advice of a naturalist, he also started taking a calcium-magnesium supplement daily…

Totally intrigued. I'm trying these tonight, and I'll report back in the morning.

Careful . . . your 'nasty' is showing. . . . . . and your 'ignorance' . . . and your 'high and mighty' . . . such unattractive characteristics -- maybe put a paper bag on 'em?

Great achievement! I remember my first mile, too, and it was at about that weight as well. KEEP GOING!

What a REFRESHING and INSPIRATIONAL post! This is how marriage should be: the two of you, better together, than you could ever be individually. The WHOLE is truly more than the sum of its parts, isn't it? Loved this post, all the best to both of you!

Great Post. Kudos to the OP and several others!

I've seen comments like this at my Chiropractor's office -- societies that wear shoes less have healthier joints / spines. So what do you recommend instead? Are you saying only barefoot running, or is there a "foot covering" of some sort that you use?

Keep it. Goatee looks great -- only grow it longer, in my opinion.

I had just had my fourth child three days before, and my husband had the day off, so we were all sitting there just enjoying our new family member. My mother-in-law called us and told us to turn on the TV. We did. . . and were horrified. I had blood pressure issues (too low) from losing some blood during delivery, so I was…

^^^^ Excellent remedies. We use these very concoctions in our home, and they work wonders!! In addition to ginger, we make tea with licorice root and cinammon sticks -- yummy and soothing. (Do not use licorice if pregnant or nursing.)

"It's very easy to out-eat an exercise program, but it's very hard to "out-lazy" a good diet." LOVE this quote, Jacksonpt!

Not to mention -- this thread started with a woman asking how she can shed the belly fat, not a man. Women and men ARE different, and will lose weight and tone differently. Their needs simply are not the same. There may be some basic principles that apply to both in this area, but it would be so nice if there were as much…

Great challenge. I'm IN!

^^^^ THIS! Every word of it. The Brewer Diet is fantastic! My last two births were with a midwife, and she highly recommends this diet.

AND, not a bit of him's scraggly or scrawny, and every last inch of him's covered with hair. . . Calling all balding, wimpy guys: EAT EGGS!

Great post! Thank you for sharing your story, and big congratulations to you on getting healthy, and STAYING healthy!

Good grief -- another "so-called" scientific study . . . who financed it? What was the motive? Total BS, and then some! I eat two farm-fresh (range free, organic) eggs every single day, and have NEVER had even a remotely high cholesterol number.
