Check my profile pics... Before was June 2010, competition pic was May 2011 :)

You should post a pic so we can be the judge... I would NEVER avoid buff arms!!! Plus I have never know anyone (male/female) who's ever had a problem in keeping their arms getting buff (even some that are PCOS)....

Love this-> 100g plain fat free greek yogurt, add 1/2 scoop of protein (sometimes vanilla other time chocolate), mix together and then add about 15 almonds. If you want it sweeter, I add 1 packet of stevia or agave nectar!

Mine is still on milk for now... But my sister-in-law ALWAYS offers healthy choices and explains the choices and how it helps their bodies to grow. My nephew even asked one day "is this snack better than that snack for my body aunty?" And they love water!

Bump for later!

I try to divide my cals in 5-6 small meals, I starve with small snacks. Also, if I'm hungrier than normal - I'll eat, doesn't matter to me what time of day or night it is! Everyone's different you just hav to experiment what works for you!

What worked for mine was soaking in Epsom salts for 20min/day... Helped it heal!

Like others said: lose body fat... However, I used to do squats in the "cage" 10X10 with 45seconds rest in between (increasing weight each time to the point the it always has to be difficult to do the last 2 in the set... NOTE: have a spotter) and it was a fat buster for me on my legs... In my pic - that was the result of…

I've trained my body to eat while running for exactly the reason you posted. I preferred the gels cause they were quick and easy... I did the jelly beans - only problem when it's cold outside and you have to chew a lot, it will take longer than your walk break to get them down, plus you have to drink with the JB. BUT they…

Oh, and HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE the few days before and throughout your run!! :)
-
I've done like 7 half marathons and haven't gotten to do a full yet (but will get there)! My advice: like previous posts, make sure you don't do anything different the day before. Make sure you wake up early to have a great breakfast to have some energy during your first half marathon (so exciting!!). You might want to…

When I'm with someone and they pay more attention to their F*&^#%@ phone than me!!!

Love this post and it is very true with positive/negative/neutral weight training. I know for me this made a HUGE difference in building the muscle and 'shocking' my muscles :)

When training hard, Glutamine very good to recover - I take 5g of it in the morning before meal, in protein shake after workout (within 45 min) and before bed. To OP, having a shake withing 15-1h of working out is great for recovery and feeding muscle... If that's not your goal, then whenever works for you. I use this…

You look awesome!!! Even in your before pics you look like someone fun and very beautiful! Great work on getting healthier and absolutely shine :)

My guideline is eating what I feel like eating. I eat 1400 cals or more in a day and try to spread that out in 4-6 meals throughout. I try to eat as close to 'natural' and whole foods as possible. I don't like processed foods, it makes me feel icky. I like leaner meats, stay away from pork most of the time. I don't eat…

I'm 5'2" and it took me 10 months to go from 157 to 107 for a Body Building competition... Now it was hard work and strict but all well worth it!

I was always starving when following the calories in/out theory here on MFP as the calories I was burning was way more than what MFP had logged. If you want to go by calories, I would suggest getting a reliable Heart Rate Monitor like a Polar FT (not sure what # they are at now - I have the Polar FT4 and works great!).…

In my experience "sleep is a weapon" also! When I train, I need GOOD SLEEP to recover. That for me is at least 8hrs. When I did get my 8hrs a night, I would lose fat much faster than I do now (sleeping bouts of 4-6hrs - waking for baby feedings).

Awesome! Thanks for your feedback :) Ordered!!!

Possibly in a Japanese Anime kinda way ;-)

I'm not a man, but I have to say - GREAT JOB!! PS - Liked this thread as I agree that sometimes there is too much drama on here... But like a post on here said "come her to log and for support" - keep it focused!!! :) Awesome results on this thread.

@Gypsy Fireball!

15-22% just because I like muscles :)

For me - I need the gym. No way I can change my body's appearance by just doing cardio. Sure I'll lose fat, but will NEVER build the muscle I want to change the way my body looks... Without the gym I still burn calories, but never do I burn as long as I do when I pump iron. BUT, I love pumping iron :) Not everyone does. I…

OMG! Almost died laughing when I read this... Some of my guy friends have informed me of the "starfish" characteristics... AND even took me to a bar where one worked to point her out - LOL!!! PS - because you're hot, you can't just do NOTHING!!! :P

My fav shake ingredients! PB, banana, oats, chocolate protein shake mix, ice n a little water to make it liquid... YUM!

Flatter stomach starts in the kitchen sister :) Plus, remember we are WOMEN - a bit of a belly is NATURAL! :)
-
Another tip - PREPARATION! If you have the good fuel that your body needs, you won't grab the first thing when things get tough :)

I lift heavy, the only way I see results. I want to remain lean... I eat about 1500-1700 cals/day do some cardio, but not that much... I lose #... A woman can only gain like 5lbs of muscle a year... if you gain more, that's fat.
