I've never posted on an "I've never..." thread before. DAMN IT! I don't think I can use this now...

Are your "critiques" helpful or are you just being a DB? No offense. I'm just wondering. Either way that's funny!

NO ****! there was a girl at my gym that would do this. She would step off the track onto the side of the treadmill and bust out a dance number then jump back on the track and continue running. All the while singing with her headphones on. CRAZYYYYY!

I'm not sure when this became bad etiquette but someone complained about guys like me (towel steppers) in one of the other posts. I really didn't think it was that bad and it prevents me from catching nastiness from the floor.

I keep thinking they'll eventually figure out that hearing rapid footfalls behind them means someone is coming! Good luck. I hear you can't fix stupid.

So there!

guilty... I hate touching the nasty locker room floor.

I'm going to take this in another direction. I've been running before and gambled. I've never lost! Thankfully! Has anyone else? Ever Sharted at the gym???

I don't have time to address all of your points so let me hit on a just a few: 1-newbs- all are welcome at the gym. I love seeing new faces. I don't like when people show up and don't take it seriously. It's a distraction nobody needs. 2-mirror watchers- these are prob the really buff guys/gals that are really in love with…

apology accepted. now open a window.

I have thought about doing this. I like to people watch tho. People smelling I can do without.

I walked into the weight room last week and there were 4 high school boys in there. JUST 4! and the whole room smelled like sweat and hormones. I don't remember smelling like that but then again it was a LONG time ago...

I get a kick out of the newbies walking on the treadmill drinking from their fast-food cup. I know you have to start somewhere but can you NOT stop at McDs on the way to the gym? or at least leave your super sized drink in your car?

I can't believe we have been farted on...

BUMP! THIS LOOKS AMAZING!

Good point. However, it was pretty obvious that the turd had just put out his cig right before coming in to the weight room. There is another couple at the gym that actually take smoke breaks while they are "working out."

That's awful!

If you are just starting with weights I suggest using the machines and do circuit training. Ask the trainers or floor staff at your gym for a demo. They will show what machines to use for the muscle groups you want to work. They can also show you how to use them properly. Do this for a few weeks then move on to the free…

Agree! I gave up on working out with friends a long time ago. I will encourage anyone to go or join me but I make sure they know I'm there to do my own thing. I also take my time at the gym seriously. Mostly because I don't always have a tone of time to waist and I don't want to be there all day. As for the turds on the…

I am an expert. I am a Chiropractor and I see whiplash injuries every day. PT is ok but you need to see a Chiropractor. A good DC can have yo back at the gym and feeling better before yo know it.

There are a few things wrong with just counting calories. Worst of which is that a calorie is not just a calorie. What this means is that your body will use nutrient based calories in dif ways. If your total daily caloric intake is 1200 and you eat 1200 cal. worth of ice cream you will gain weight and be unhealthy. You…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&list=PLD05B1A35D6DC50E5&v=eT_sMWbiNYY Here is an interview that explains the science behind the vibration machines. Apparently the Russians have been training athletes with this technique for years. This wouldn't be the first time we have "borrowed" training methods from…

Consult a Chiropractor in your area and ask him/her these very same questions. My guess is that you need to work on core strength which will help support your low back.
