  • I have been gluten free for almost 3 years (by choice - I don't have celiac disease). Breakfast: gluten free oats with peanut butter and banana -or- Egg whites with Spinach -or- a plain greek yogurt smoothie with berries and kale Lunch: I'll admit, I eat frozen lunches at work, but only the organic ones with clear, simple…
  • ^YUM! A few spoons of plain yogurt and an egg before gym, then oatmeal with peanut butter and a banana after gym. Lots of water. Almost black coffee (a drop of half&half). Egg whites with spinach/kale or yogurt with protein powder and blueberries are my other regular breakfasts.
  • Yes. To echo what others have said, keep it within reason and be accountable (log it) but don't beat yourself up over it. You made a comment about it being a "chocolate." Not all chocolate is created equal. Could you get the same satisfaction out of having some dark chocolate covered peanuts or almonds? Could you find one…
  • Agreed! Though, if you go to nicer restaurants, geared towards the quality of the ingredients, you will frequently find that the portions are more reasonable. Frequently, they offer "small plates" that you can pair with a salad and not even get a full entree. And the nicer quality leads to greater enjoyment of the food and…
  • You're awesome! Thanks! I thought when I initially set it up that was an option, but I forgot where it was.

  • Thanks all! I removed sugar. Can you edit your percentages? Mine only has me targeting 15% of my calories from protein and that IS RIDICULOUS! I know I can ignore it, but I'd rather change the percentages (up protein, lower carbs). I know I do lots of cardio a week but I also lift a lot, so it should require more protein.…

  • I do between 4 and 5 hours of cardio per week and lift weights for about 3 hours per week. I think I've got working out covered addy17:)

  • Thanks! I just wish I could remove the column. I also don't like seeing the red numbers!

  • Everyone has given all the good advice. I just want to re-emphasize...getting ready to go the night before, try to get to sleep earlier, and mainly just getting into the habit. The first 18 years of my workout life, I refused to work out in the morning (except when I did crew in college), but once I had a son, it was…
  • I can't be with someone who's headless.
  • I can't relate to NOT eating fruits and vegetables. I know a couple of people who don't eat any vegetables. I'm not sure how these people poop without laying rocks. Vitamins are not a substitute for real, nurishment and to get that you need fruits and vegetables. Definitely log them. Fruits have lots of calories!
  • Good for you! You ARE inspirational. I can totally relate to your story. It is nice to finally be one of those girs! Though I'm not as skinny as you:)
  • Four weeks isn't enought time and incorporate strength training (it was already said above, but it's important to emphasize). Building muscle helps your metabolism. You could be going through a gaining muscle/losing fat shift and it's going to take a while to really see lbs lost or size lost. Also, weight bearing cardio…
  • I've been lifting for 22 years, but it took me years to really figure out what to do. Never can hurt to schedule a couple of sessions with a personal trainer. A good trainer can help motivate you, give you form/technique pointers and give you ideas for how to schedule your sessions to meet your goals and fit your schedule.…
