Only you can answer that. The first time i did it - definitely low impact; I couldn't handle high impact. Now? High impact, for sure.

I log it under cardio and I get the calories burned from livestrong.com they're good for counting calories, but not much else

Figured. I looked it up and a couple websites were like "No, scientifically proven!" I kept thinking.. ****.. the elliptical is the fastest way I burn calories and so far the max I've gotten is like 15/min.
