Keep an eye on your carbs. Keep them right around 100 and you'll lose. Don't eat anything white....white bread, potato's, rice, etc. I Personally err on the side of UNDER-estimating my exercise and log EVERYTHING. even boullion cubes or 5 blueberries. If that doesn't help, look up "insulin resistance"

I broke my ankle and lost 30 pounds. My 11 year-old was my only help after the first week. She was a little lacking in delivering my lean cuisines I'd stocked up on. She was good at the crystal-light though. I drank and drank and the weight just fell off and all I did was lay in bed.

Be accurate about your activity level. I've lost a lot of weight but I put down sedentary and no exercise as my fitness profile. In reality I do spinning class almost daily and lift weights every day. I don't eat back my exercise calories 90% of the time. Being conservative on your exercise calories and accurate on food…

Yes, I used to drink but found out it is counter-productive for dieting. You can eat, or you can drink, but you can rarely do both. If you save calories for booze, you will not have enough for good nutrition. If you eat VERY CLEANLY (and that means the biggest nutritional bang for your buck) you may be able to slide in a…

i logged before and after and have also logged beforehand then made sure it was accurate afterward. I prefer after i've actually done the exercise. I logged in once for 60 min intense spinning and actually did about 10 min of it when I had to quit because it was a back to back class and I just didn't have the energy to do…

I forgot to add. At some point, when you feel comfortable, add weight/strength training. This helps too.

yes-this is a very good question. Don't lose more than 2 pounds a week maximum. Start taking vitamins for your skin now, drink lots of water from now on. You look fairly young...the slower you lose it, the less the skin issue will be. it can take years for the skin to catch up. Bariatric patients would have the biggest…

Hi-I'm a "modified vegan". I can eat whatever I NEED to to make sure I am getting all nutrients needed. I try to stay away from animal products except no-fat yogurt, no-fat cottage cheese. I can eat eggs if I choose, fish if I choose, I can eat anything I need or want............just generally, on a day to day basis, I'm…

Fantastic !!! You have every right to be proud!!!

Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, thanks, I should have been more specific in my question. Water weight is the onlything i meant...that and bloat if there's a diff. I figured the peeps that know this stuff would write, I should have counted on the ill-informed haters on writing anyway :) There were people who wrote me, just to let me know that they…

Thank you Stacie, I will do this, I've seen a few mention this and I've never done it.
-
it had nothing to do with the dress. I don't know why i mentioned the damn dress. I accidentally ate way too much sodium yesterday and I drank a ton of water today to make uip for it. I just want to not have a hint of bloat.

I don't really know whiy I did. I guess I must have subconciously been thinking about it. It's really not relevant.
-
no, it's not, I just came off my last plateau, I just had a ton of sodium yesterday and tomorrow I have to look real good....I drank around 15 cups of water so far to counteract the soduium intake so that should start working soon. I just need the max I can do in one day and one day only.

I personnally chose a "modified vegan" diet. The weight comes off easy and theres no hunger issues. It works for me:)
-
I probably should not have mentioned the dress as it already fits but no one but a few careful readers notice
-
Thank, yes, its just for a day... thank you for taking the time to give a thoughtful response.
-
When you've lost as much as I have for as long as I have, then I would consider taking your snide remarks seriously.
-
I mentioned already, the dress fits.
-
Thank you for your thoughtful , considerate response. I will try that.
-
Yes, something similar but not a weeding. Thank you for your thoughtful question

Excellent work! Wonderful Transformation!

You are correct, no one addresses it, because unless you have issues with it, it will probably not be an issue for you. You can search the internet and rarely will you find a definative answer. You can check Livestrong, WebMD, Mayo Clinic. etc. Assuming there's no predisposition to diabetes or other insulin related issues,…

That is natural sugar and at times can be difficult like sodium, to keep a lid on it. The only way to keep it under control is to not eat anything unnatural and even then it's no guarantee you'll stay under. It is good that we are aware of how easy it is to get excess sugar. Natural sugar still is bad for some people.…
