I think if she keeps insisting that they'll eat everything then maybe they really will and you shouldn't stress too much! That said, one of my son's favs is cubed chicken breast and rotini pasta tossed with pesto sauce. Super easy and delish for the adults too.

Often to maintain flavor on low-fat foods, they add extra sugar...so that might explain why you are high on sugar most days. I'd also suggest eating the full fat items and adding calorie dense foods like nuts and avocado as a previous poster suggested. A serving of nuts is pretty small and might be the perfect snack for a…

The always classic lemon and dill. Chipotle powder and lime. Equal parts brown or Dijon mustard and maple syrup for a glaze. 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce, 1/3 brown sugar, 1/3 cup water and 1/4 cup. Really yummy! Makes enough to glaze about 5 fillets.

A can of white chunk chicken, fresh chopped cilantro, lime juice and hot sauce! Yum!

All of you ladies look fantastic! It so inspiring to see that many of you are moms also and that your tummies look great after pregnancy. My youngest is 7 weeks old so I am saving this post to look at whenever I get discouraged!

This. Like someone else said, if your stretch marks are still red/pink you can expect them to fade to a silver, but aside from surgical intervention, they will always be with you. Sorry :( Although my stretch marks are from a baby, pregnancy did a lot of damage to my skin and I have just had to make my peace with it. We…

I was vegetarian for 11 years, since I was 15. I've only been eating meat for a few months and made the switch to Primal shortly after that. I had been having pretty intense cravings for meat anytime I cooked it for my husband (even though I couldn't even really remember what it tasted like), so I finally decided to listen…

I will send you a friend request. My husband and I have been Paleo for about a month and a half. I am not always strict, we stick pretty closely to the 80% rule, but my diary is open for anyone to see. I agree that it would be nice to have more paleo friendly people added on MFP, so anyone else can add me also.

I stall on Paleo when I stop taking into account how many nuts and how much nut butter I'm eating. Even though they're allowed on Paleo, it should be in moderation if you're trying to lose weight. Same goes with fruit--I try to limit it to two servings a day. Not going overboard on those two things and keeping my carbs…

You look fantastic and your hard work is absolutely paying off!! Such a huge difference!

Yes please do keep us updated! I've been very curious about this!

Wow...I hope you realize that you said 'she WAS beautiful'... If my husband thought it was his duty to critique my eating and exercise habits (not to mention calling me lazy or trying to 'make' me track my food) I wouldn't mind in the least if he chose to take off with one of the scantily-clad teens and got the f*** out of…

Me! I'm in Yakima, but originally from the Tri-Cities!

I had this same experience not too long ago, but in a different way. I was trying to finish an aerobic video with my little boy attached to my legs and he wouldn't let me do it. So I just picked him up and danced along to the music. It wasn't long before I was completely whooped, and then I realized that my son only weighs…

If its the canned coconut milk that you can find in the asian section of the grocery store, yes that's paleo. If its the refrigerated kind, like So Delicious, I don't believe that it's 100% Paleo, but I've read about many people who still drink it. It kind of depends on your comfort zone.

Mine is open and you are free to look. I haven't been paleo for very long, only two weeks and not everything has been perfect, but I do my best! I usually eat between 1,500--1,800 cals tho.

Yeah they are going to be a once in a while treat for me! I'm trying to keep my carbs at 100 or less to lose a few pounds, so if I have sweet potato I have to cut out all my fruit for the day! Your hash sounds super yummy though, I will have to throw in veggies next time I make this!

Hi and welcome! I am relatively new to this lifestyle too, so I am also in the process of navigating my through all of the info out there! Dairy is a hard one for me to give up too, but even eating it occasionally is way less than I was before!

That's a good idea! Thanks!

Just wanted to suggest a website we've been using in our house for recipes. Paleoplan.com They have recipes ideas for every meal, including breakfast and snacks/desserts. There are also many recipes you can google for that are baked goods (muffins, pancakes) that are made with almond or coconut flour. We usually do some…

I would say the past two weeks have been pretty good. I intended to do the 30 day challenge, but I lapsed over the weekend on a trip with my family (it was a combo of them not being conscience of food or nutrition at all, my poor willpower and being sick and reverting back to the traditional comfort foods I was used too).…

Yes! I think self-sabotage is very common. My take on it is that when you are overweight it's very easy to blame all of your problems and unhappiness on being heavy, but when you start losing weight and get closer to your goal you realize that if you haven't dealt with the emotional baggage behind the weight you are just…

Hi, I just wanted to reply to this topic to say that you might want to check out the Carbohydrate Curve on MarksDailyApple. Sorry that I cannot post the link (I'm on my iPad), but he pretty much says that keeping your carbs between 50-100 lends itself to effortless weightloss, where 100-150 grams of carbs a day is more…

I just started Paleo after eating strictly vegetarian for 11 years. I had started having really strong cravings whenever I cooked meat for my husband, so I told people that I really felt I had to trust my body and give it what it was asking for. Everyone was generally understanding, though I have gotten a few comments…

You can always check out Skinnytaste.com. She has about a bazillion great recipes, most of which would look pretty special to make for Vday!

For me, when hunger attacks I have to decide if it's mental (am I bored? Stressed? Emotional?) or if I'm legitimately hungry. If I'm really hungry, I eat. I do my best to stick to my calorie goals, but sometimes I go over a bit because I needed a snack between my regular meals (I try to make sure it's a good choice). I…

This! It's also delish with flour tortillas as well, but a little higher calorie. Also, Tostitos brand makes baked scoop corn chips and they are pretty good. I've served them at parties before and no one missed the real thing.

I have avocados maybe once a week. They are a little calorie dense, but the fat they have is healthy fat. I'd say as long as you're staying within your calorie goal, then go for it. They're delicious!
