calories

I'm finding it really hard to get the total amount of calories a day to stop my body from being in starvation mode. I'm always over on my sugar even thou I'm using lite and lowfat foods. I only have 2 ten minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch so it's really hard to eat enough while working, If I get to full I get really sleepy. what can I do to to increase the calories with out feeling so full

Feel free to add me... Anyone can. Increasing protein intake and some good fats like salmon, nuts, avocado, and olive oil are likely to help your calorie count to come up.

Use full fat products and put peanut butter on everything.

Light & low fat foods are what is making you go over on your sugar. Use regular ones and you will get your calories. Other than that, snack on some nuts.

This. Make chicken/pork/steak with olive/coconut oils. Vegetables can add fiber. Carbs tend to make you sleepy IMO.

More protiens/fats and take it easy on the more sugary fruit. Blackberries/raspberries/blueberries are just as good and don't come with as much fructose.

Often to maintain flavor on low-fat foods, they add extra sugar...so that might explain why you are high on sugar most days. I'd also suggest eating the full fat items and adding calorie dense foods like nuts and avocado as a previous poster suggested. A serving of nuts is pretty small and might be the perfect snack for a ten minute break, it has enough healthy fats to satiate you but won't slow you down.

MFP's sugar setting is ridiculously low. Ignore it. AVOID lite and lowfat foods, eat the 'whole' versions. Peanut butter, nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocados are calorie dense. Eat bigger portions. Personally.....if I have a couple hundred calories left at the end of the day...I'm hitting the chips ahoy
