  • I am on my 5th week of Stronglifts!!! Oh how time flew and oh how these exercises have gotten challenging QUICKLY. Completed my second July workout this morning (workout A). Squats: 110x5 (I didn't fail per se but my knees were wobbly on the last two sets and it felt like my hips were starting to rise first before the rest…
  • Today's workout makes my 6th one so far. I did workout B: Squats: Warmup + 5x5 @ 70 OHP: 5x5 @ 50 (Starting to get challenging on the last rep of each set...lol. I have been increasing by 2.5 pounds from the jump) DL: 1x5 @ 115 (Love this exercise) I finished in about 35 minutes and am still taking 1.5 minute breaks…
  • Welcome! I am fairly new...on my 2nd week (and loving it!).
  • Oh wow...I totally forgot about that song. You just brought back some happy memories.
  • LOL...I know! We are down to our last jar of pb after buying a case of 12 a couple months ago. I love this stuff way too much but it fits into my macros so it is all good.
  • THIS. I will probably be doing this for a couple more weeks. I am on week 2 as well. Tomorrow will be my fourth workout. Excited!!
  • Oh my goodness...no. This thread is hilarious though. lol
  • Aw, thanks ladies! And thanks for enduring my intro. :-) Which ones are fun? I am trying to recover getting my butt kicked by Jillian. lol @suremeansyes: It is definitely a breath of fresh air not doing cardio everyday. I can totally get used to this.
  • Great job for making it to the end of the program! I completed Day 7 today and I am done. Thanks for tracking along with me on the spreadsheet. It really motivated me to keep up! I am going to end the month with a full day of rest and then some light cardio and HIIT workouts on Sunday and Monday before starting Stronglifts…
  • Awesome!!! I love connecting with other women who know first hand the great benefits behind strength training! And you competed? I can't even wrap my head around that yet but the picture may become clearer down the road. Have you started the Stronglifts program yet?
  • I joined the Stronglifs 5x5 for Women group here a few months ago, and it is so inspiring seeing how much a woman can transform her body from strength training only 3 days a week on average and is able to eat well into 2000 calories a day and still lose inches. This is the type of fitness training I can appreciate! The…
  • I finished the 6th day of week 4 this morning. I have a like/hate feeling for this workout. Just when I like how much stronger I have gotten on the first set of the exercises, I am hating how much I am struggling on the second round. Too many emotions going on while I am sweating it out physically. I think I am going to do…
  • The most important thing is that you are still moving! Not every workout program is for everyone at the same time or even at all. You have to do what will be sustainable for you in the long run but kudos to you for implementing some of the exercises from the dvd into your own workouts. This means you got something out of…
  • Week 4 is chucking along. It is not my favorite week with all the push ups/renegade rows and front burpees going on. But nevertheless, I am about to knock out day 5 today. I still find myself sweating like crazy. It has been quite a month with this workout. Starting heavy strength training next week will be a refreshing…
  • Amazing and beautiful!
  • Amazing! You look awesome and are definitely heading in the right direction. Keep pressing forward. What a beautiful testimony on seeing the light behind such dark times. You are a strong woman.
  • Love this!!! Amazing! I understand the disappointment. I didn't complete grad school. I suffered through depression mainly because I was defining myself by my "failure". Now I am in a much better state, going after my passions, and taking my failures as steps closer to my success. Kudos for pushing through some of your…
  • Lol @ tmjdunn. I thought the same thing too for the warm up. I still couldn't get my full balance on that second dynamic stretch move by day 6. Oh well. :-) Kudos ChippleMunk!!! That is awesome!!!!
  • I completed week 3 workout today and feel pretty good about moving to week 4 workout tomorrow. My very first attempt at RI30 a few years ago stopped at the end of week 3. When I attempted it again earlier this year, I was able to complete it the entire way through. I guess now this is my third go round, I should not have…
  • Bump....for when I hit one of my rough spots along the way. I can't really add anymore than what has already been said. I have learned to see my failures more as lessons to improve my future and bring me closer to success. :-) Awesome support shining through this thread. It truly made me smile. Best wishes!
  • Day 4 of Week 3 complete. It definitely gets easier and I like this workout more than last week's. Can't believe it is nearing to the end. Keep it up!
  • My chart looks so much like yours! Like a previous poster said, your general trend is downward which is a great thing. Day to day fluctuates could be due to water retention due to high sodium intake, muscle recovery, or TOM. I generally weigh myself everyday so I am keen on these changes but know that as long as things are…
  • I just completed week 3 workout this morning and it was challenging in its own sense. Whew! I started at 155.4 then 157.4 (end of week 1) and now I am at 156.2 (end of week 2). I did not take any measurements...I will do so after the end of this program. My consistency and eating habits during week 2 were all over the…
  • There is a spreadsheet you can use to keep track of your progress whether you are on week 1 or halfway through the program: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hP9xE_O21edr3SDCiRCpedn6NXVzbKTbSelnhZPlSoE/edit?usp=sharing It is never too late to join or restart. The point is to keep moving forward. :-) @Littleness16:…
  • I have had all kinds of breaks within the past 1.5 weeks due to travel and had to make due with what I could while away from the comforts of my home. I completed day 4 of week 2 today after a two day break and just feel so wiped out from this workout still. I burned a little less than I usually do so I am not sure what to…
  • That is awesome!!! You should be really happy with your progress. You are trimming down! I haven't done Leslie's 4 Fast Mile workout in a while...I may need to revisit. :-) Keep it up!
  • I don't normally comment often on the message boards outside of the group forums but you are simply beautiful. Your post really created a positive and encouraging atmosphere in my heart. Thank you for sharing this and I wish you nothing but more success and more posts like this one. You go girl!!!
  • I finished my workout not too long ago. I usually try to do it in the morning but life happened. I was really sore from yesterday's workout but I pushed through. Week 2 workout left me drenched of course. 2 days down and 4 more to go. Have fun rippin'! :-)
  • No problem everyone! I am glad it works! You guys are doing a great job. Keep it up!!!
