  • I know you said you're not worried about calories but you might want to rethink that. It really doesn't seem like you're getting enough nutrition. I would add something else to your morning, maybe a smoothie? You can always add almond butter or something like that to help up calories in a healthy way.
  • I set myself the most annoying ringtone as my alarm. It's a woman singing "Good morning!" and I place the phone just out of reach! Also, this may seem obvious, but for a week, force yourself to go to bed way earlier than you normally choose to. Getting up early isn't so arduous when you're fully rested.
  • Lets do this! Adding you and anyone else who wants to add me is fine! :D
  • I need to start focusing on balance. Too often I deliberately eat super lightly and miserably all day so that I can stop by the chinese food place for dinner and be under my calorie goal. That's okay once and awhile but this month is going to be focused on balance, and making sure each meal is worth putting in my body.
  • definitely making this, thanks!
  • It's a contentious topic here but doing that low of calories can send your body into defensive mechanisms because it thinks you're starving. You can hold onto weight, or if you prolong it, you can get really sick.
  • That's basically what I eat every morning and I love it. You can mix the fruit up too. I generally stick with a cup of strawberries, but then the second fruit gets changed based on whims while grocery shopping--I've used blackberries, raspberries, apples, pears, cantelope and bananas! Keep in mind that the berries will…
  • I used to eat the chobani little ones with a quarter cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch religiously but two weeks ago I was like "yeesh it would be so much cheaper to buy the big tub and portion it out!" but they only sell the big tubs in plain! So I bought it figuring I'd give it a shot, and after two weeks I don't have any…
  • You need a small food scale! Mine was pretty cheap and I use it for everything!
  • Hahah it's a really popular brand of peanut butter here. It always has commercials of the perfect June Cleaver housewife dispensing it to her children with a little song that goes "choosy moms choose jif"
  • I put it in smoothies, dips, and once in a stir fry!! Usually nut butters are much less processed than Jif so they're a little bit more difficult to spread on sandwiches but if you have the patience, you can put it in anything you'd use peanut butter!
  • Yeah, I don't believe in "free" foods!
  • I definitely recommend the smoothie plan. I received a bullet blender for christmas and it has CHANGED my life. It's a one serving cup that has one lid with blades on it and another with a spill proof top. You put your fruit (or whatever!) in it, blend it up, switch out for the to go lid, and toss it in your bag and head…
  • Once a month or so I make a huge vat of soup or stew and freeze it in 1 serving portions. Then on the days when I have NO idea what I want for lunch, or just don't feel like executing something, I pull one out of the freezer. Typically though I usually have a sandwich or a salad for lunch. Cooking for 1 means that when I…
  • I definitely recommend kalynskitchen.com/ She's centered on low carb recipes but by extension they're usually lowcal as well.
  • I also am a BIG fan of sandwiches for lunch, and the bread thing always kills me. HOWEVER, the two options I usually take is Pepperidge Farm's carbstyle bread, which is 60 calories a slice, meaning 120 per sandwich. I also just picked up the Flatout Spinach Wrap which is 90 calories for the whole wrap. It's thicker than I…
  • Yes, me too! Every weekend! I think it's because I go off my 6 meal routine. I wake up so much later so it's already mid to late morning when I eat breakfast, and then it's pretty late when I eat lunch, so I'm actually too low on calories and hungry, and then I go out with friends and eat disgustingly at restaurants and…
  • Us in the forums can't tell you that, it has to do with how much exercise you do each day, and your own body. I'd start by doing what MFP recommends and see if that works. If you're hungry and lacking energy, you may need to increase it. If you really want to get some specific help, ask a doctor, or some of the personal…
