  • You look great!! I love the success stories with photos. Such a good inspiration to others.
  • That is not an unusal HR for someone who is physically active. Ecspecially being young. When it drops to the low 40's, or into the 30's that you should really be concerned.
  • I'm aiming for 145-150. And pilates is great for toning. You will notice a difference by the end of the first week if you do it every day.
  • I do nights in the ER. I usually eat several small meals throughout the day, then take things like yogurt covered raisins and granola bars and lots of water for the night.
  • That is wonderful! You look great! Keep up the great work, I am so happy for you.
  • You look GREAT!! So happy for you!
  • I just came back from Disney World. I walked around the resort I stayed at every day as well as used the gym available at the resort to try and stay on track.
  • I would like to lose another 25-30 lbs.
  • I'm 5'7 and weight 189. My goal is 155 to 160. According to medical weight charts, the ideal weight for my height is 135-164. I haven't weighed 130 since high school.
  • I started at 228 lbs last year. I am down to 189 lbs. now. It has been slow going and very hard at times. Just remember you will have bad days. Sometimes really bad days. And some days you have to give yourself that cookie or milkshake. But always pick up with your diet again on the next meal or the next day. And keep…
  • I would follow up with your cardiologist or your primary care provider. Only because you have started an exercise routine so they can make recommendations or even adjustments to the pacer if needed.
  • You looked great!! I am so happy for you! What a great inspiration you are to all of us.
  • I like the TruBlue Spa gradual tanner from Bath and Body Works. It doesn't leave streaks and you can adjust how dark you want the tan. However, the spray tan option from a salon is the absolute best way to go. I go to Image Sun, and it looks really good after your done.
  • I feel exactly the same way you do. Plus I get terrible shin splints. I have gone to the running store, gotten my stride evaluated, got special running shoes, still terrible shin splints. I would like to know too what to do to make it better.
  • They still make Pyridium. We give it all the time to our Urology patients.
  • I know when we discharge patients home after a cysto procedure for kidney stones, the discharge instructions say to not drink cranberry juice and stay away from artificial sweetners. As far at frequent UTI's. I use to have them, I cut out caffinated drinks, drink mostly water. Also, I make sure to go to the bathroom…
  • If you are looking to make more money or have opportunities for advancement, go back to school. I know you have limited income, but if you speak with a counselor at your local community college, she can show you what is available to you for financing. I went back to school in my late 20's, after my 3 kids were born. Best…
  • My rings have gotten to big. I can now buy jeans at American Eagle, and have to wear a belt. Have a lot more energy. The belly roll is getting smaller when I sit down.
  • One of the hardest parts is getting started. Be dedicated to yourself. Tell yourself that you are doing this for you, so you will feel healthier, and feel better. It's hard to tell your kids to eat a certain way or to get outside to exercise, if I'm not doing it myself. I know when I first started, I had to really push…
  • I had the same problem when I first started. Just keep doing what you are doing, Like the previous posts have said, measure yourself. You may be losing inches even if you aren't losing lbs. Try adding more strength training or increasing the amount of time you do your cardio. Don't get discouraged.
  • You have to do what is right for you, and not worry about what others think. I will tell you as a surgical nurse, who has taken care of these patients, it is a lot of work and commitment that goes along with it. Just make sure that you are mentally prepared and dedicated to doing whatever you have to do to make it work. As…
  • Pace yourself. It's hard to jump right into running if you haven't done it before. Start with walking first. Brisk walks, with changes in terrain, and inclines. Work your way up to running. Shortness of breath is normal if you are starting an exercise routine. However, shortness of breath with normal daily activities, is…
  • I wouldn't say lazy. It can be a pain lugging around the kids with the baby bag, baby carrier. Plus hoping that they behave and not start throwing a fit. Ecspecially since lunch time was always close to my kids nap time. Not that I never went out for lunch with the kids, but I had to plan early in the day and schedule the…
  • Done WW before several times. It works, but is basically the exact same as this website, except this site is free. You just have to weigh-in in front of one of the leaders at the WW meetings. Just so they can ask, "Oh no, what happened?" when you gain 1lb. (Yet they are the size of my calf) Lady, I'm fat, obviously I like…
  • Don't be frustrated. I have days where I eat what I want and how much I want. And I am talking ice cream, pizza, etc. I am still losing. The days you don't do the greatest, forget about them. Just start fresh with your next meal. You have to live once in awhile, or you are destined to fail. As far as exercising, I force…
  • Don't feel bad. This is a hard time of year. You just have to remember to start right back on your diet the next day. You are going to have days that you just want to eat. You just have to remember to get right back on your plan.
  • I had it done through Image Sun. Turned out great. Looked natural. However, I would have it done a couple of times before your wedding so they can determine the right shade for you. Depending on the shade you are looking for, they will spray heavier or lighter. Also, you can use the gradual tan lotion from Bath and Body…
