It's all estimates, just pick a TDEE calculator or take an average of a few and stick with it. Try not to worry about all the other little things. I've lost 27lbs up to now doing TDEE -20%. I just took the average of a few of the most popular sites (scooby, fat2fit,IIFYM). It definitely works just try not to over think it…

Happens to me all the time! I weigh weekly but I can still go 4 weeks with nothing then I have a woosh! :) this is where a lot of people give up, before the woosh!

well done on the loss! just remember that people only make rude or offensive comments when they have low self esteem or something about themselves that they don't like. Losing a stone is amazing and you don't need to say anything to anyone in response or justify yourself, your weight loss does that all on it's own and it's…

I was in the gym quite a lot and kept getting knee injuries. I started walking daily around 10 weeks ago and only go in the gym twice a week. I Walk for 60 mins per day at 4.5 mile an hour and the change in my body shape is brilliant. Walking is the way forward for me! I've lost nearly 14lbs since january and got about…

My weight loss started off with a pound here and there weekly, sometimes half a pound. For the last 8-10 weeks or so I haven't lost weight for 3 or 4 weeks then I drop 3lbs, I have panicked each time that it isn't working or I'm doing something wrong or I'm not doing as much exercise as the options that are on the TDEE…

My wedding is in 25 days, can't believe it!! I've lost 9.2 lbs and I wanted to lose at least 10 before the day so I am happy :)

If your goal is 1740 you need to eat another 815 calories (your goal calories - your net so far) Hope this helps! :)

I used to feel I was cheating myself if i walked instead of going to the gym, now I walk more than going to the gym and I feel brilliant! I have problems with my knees so I kept going hard in the gym then would end up injured and having to rest and it was so frustrating! now I do a gym session twice a week including some…

These comments often come from jealous people who need to lose weight themselves! Even though it's hard, just ignore them :)

I'm not stressed at all, everyone keeps asking me oooh I bet you're stressed out and how much have you got left to sort and am I nervous, I'm so chilled out about it all, just so excited!!

I get married on 2nd May, only 9 weeks to go! I've lost 7lbs so like you I'm back to where I was when I first put my deposit down on the dress and now I'd like to lose another 7lbs by the 29th March (final fitting) then hold that weight until the day :)

Don't worry, just continue how you are as long as you're counting and exercising as you were you will lose again. I lost a few pounds then stalled for 2.5 weeks then dropped 3lbs. When I worked out what I had lost and how long it had been it was exactly 1lb per week. Stick with it :)

I like calorieline.com :)

I use calorieline.com, it's got a lot more work/activity options for you to choose what best matches your lifestyle. It has a lot of useful info on TDEE too :)
-
I think this would come under moderately active :)

I had the same issue, I just shot down the middle of my numbers and went for 1800, I'm trying this for a month to see how I get on and will tweak it if needed :)

i found this website which is really good, you put in your stats as a normal TDEE calculator then it gives you an example of a 7 day calorie zigzag idea, I'm only a couple off weeks in and lost 1lb per week so far but I am going to try this in a few more weeks http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm go to…

from the figures you have given this is about right :)

I've been on it nearly 4 years and although I know it's not the implant that puts weight on it is partly responsible for my more severe sweet cravings!! I never used to have cravings like I have since having that in. I do believe weight loss is possible on it, you just have to make the decision that it isn't going to stop…

I was worried about just trusting the science, just done my first week doing TDEE - 20% and I have lost 1.2 lbs so I am happy that my cals were worked out correctly. I am feeling very excited now about the next few months :)

Brilliant Post!! :)

thank you! Gonna be on here about once a week so will be sure to see how you are doing :) Good luck for your first week :)

Hello good idea! I'm getting married in 16 weeks and am aiming to lose 14 lbs for that. But like you I want it to be a lifestyle change so will continue on after that and my ultimate goal is to be around 140 lbs (I'm 173 now so 33 to lose altogether) We can do this :-D

thanks so much for this :) I understand it may not happen every week but it's good to hear from people who have lost a similar amount to what I want to. My long term goal is 2 stones altogether but my wedding is my half way goal :)
