Does anyone have any tricks or secrets ( apart from big glasses of water ) that help curb appetite (natural only please - steering clear of any pills at this point) To be more specific.. That help curb the un-necessary cravings for food after you've already eaten over 1400cals that day as an example

Majority of the time it is more of a binge - me by myself with a pizza :/ Usually after a long week at work when I'm buggered and in the mood to relax The 'macros' part I have been looking at but haven't gotten to the detail yet as I'm still trying to get a hold of just sticking to my calories - once that's done I'll be…

Love the website by the way - thanks am reading through it all now after putting in my data

My daily intake is 1430 - I've unfortunately gone over for the week by 1200 cals, my intake isnt at 1200 My daily intake a couple of weeks ago was set at 1200 until I was advised on here to re-work it (maybe thats why I've started seeing results?)

Oh really?? Sorry I am still fairly new to this - have been coming to the message boards more and more for advice (find everyone really helpful!) but how does 1200 cals over my weekly goal mean I'm still at a deficit? Sorry I know this is probably very much so a 'beginners' question but the whole calculation side of things…

If you don't mind me asking how long did it take you to lose what you have already? And what were your daily cals and how often/long for did you exercise? My starting was 70kg and I've only lost 1.5KG in the last month and my goal is 55KG so similar to yours - you seem to have done well though

Thanks everyone for your replies - definitely won't be going GF :)

MFP has a daily breakdown I try and stick to, unsure if its a generic one for all but mine is 50% carbs, 30% fat and 20% protein. Trying to ween myself off the white bread's and buns that I would usually have with every meal however, bit hard but have done it before with energy drinks (used to drink 3x bottles a day - now…

Thank you ^.^ and great to know about the carbs, I am trying to change from white processed carbs to more natural such as whole wheat
-
What I have been doing (unsure if its right) is I'll eat my 1,430 cals MFP gives me but my daily morning walks burn around 150cals and I won't eat them back, sometimes in the evenings I'll do a 5km+ walk with a girlfriend that burns around 350cals (according to map my walk) and if I do that as well as my morning walk I…

Thank you ^.^ To be honest giving up smoking was easy as I'd finally just 'clicked' and made the choice, now trying to cut down on bad carbs is my demon!! (I LOVE bread and potatoes - my fav snack meal is actually a mashed potato sandwich lol)

Yes I've re-done and now have a goal just under 1500 a day which is much easier to stick too! Can I ask what the reasoning is on eating back the calories, how that benefits more so to having a 100 - 200 or so deficit after exercise?
-
I've changed it now to 0.5KG a week loss which now gives me 1,430 a day! I'm hoping having the increase calories wont increase my weight rather than maintain but I've seen many posts on here saying 1,200 is too little and your body can go into 'starvation mode' so fingers crossed I actually start losing weight!!! Thanks…

Tried it and still at 1,200 cals. I think maybe because i am choosing to lose 1kg a week not 1 pound?
-
Ill try the website and see if that works thanks!

I just re-entered stats in my goal setting but the daily intake number is not changing, there doesnt seem to be an 'update' button or anything
-
That does help thanks. So I do keep my deficits and not 'eat' them then? Or only if it's say 100-200 cals and no higher

In my goal settings I am 'lightly active' with a goal of 1 pound a week, this still gives me a daily goal of 1,200cals. And I'm unsure of TDEE? Or what the difference is between TDEE and BMR. I used http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ to calculate BMR but to be completely honest I'm not even sure what I'm meant…
