How often should I update my weight loss goal?

Hey all :)

Lost 2KG (4.5 pounds) in the past month now, started at 70KG (154 pounds) and now at 68KG (149 pounds). My daily calorie allowance is 1430 and that's at a goal of 0.5KG (1 pound) a week.

At what point do you re-set your goals based on new weight (as I'm guessing the lighter you get the harder it gets to lose?)

My original daily calorie allowance was 1200 and then I was advised on her to re-look at my goal to lose half a KG a week instead of a KG and as soon as I did that (daily goal got taken up to 1430) I started seeing the weight loss.

I've seen people suggest every 10lb lost you should recalculate.

I too have heard about the 10 lb guideline.

My attitude is, as long as it's working, don't change it. If the weightless slows or stops, time to revisit. Everything. Goals, desired weight loss rate, daily calorie goal, etc.
