You can walk whenever! As long as it's not strenuous and you don't suffer from low blood sugar or anything, you should be good to walk before, after, or during your mealtimes. If a workout is strenuous, ie. running, swimming, the elliptical, then yes, you will cramp if you workout too soon after eating. As for gaining…

I swear by Kombucha, especially GTs. I try my best not to give in to lattes and alcohol- those are the biggest empty cal- killers for me!

I would love to help out! A strong friend network, whether in-person or otherwise has been fundamental in my weight-loss journey!
-
Congratulations! So motivational and inspirational :) It's people like you that keep me moving everyday in my weight-loss journey. Keep up the GREAT work! :)

That's not love. Love is accepting someone fully, "flaws" and all, and loving them in spite of it all. This guy sounds like a real jerk, and if you're this unhappy before you're married, how are you going to feel AFTER you're married? Get out now, before there are kids and a crapload of paperwork involved.

Ha I do too! I sometimes weight myself before and after I eat, or before and after I drink large amounts of water :)

I am a believer that if anything is made with chemicals, it is probably not best to eat it. I was dx'ed with Hodgkin's Disease in 07 after religiously consuming junk and diet pop for a year or more. The disease doesn't run in my family. Coincidence? I don't know, but I'm shooting for the more natural diet these days.

Food still digesting in the stomach, water retention, and a build-up of waste in the colon is what is causing your gain. Drink plenty of water and have a few bowel movements and you should be back on track in no time.

I make it known, that way if I have to refuse food someone is offering me, they won't be offended. Plus, all of my girlfriends/co-workers at work are all trying to lose weight together. Power in numbers! :)

Also, congrats on losing 21 lbs! that's awesome! :)
-
Oh yeah, it's normal! I can gain upwards of 10lbs during that time. It all goes away the day my period is over! Hang in there!

I know how you feel. I worked nights for a year (overnights) and gained a ton of weight. More than likely it's the night shift along with the added stressors in your life that are making you gain weight. I've been there. Heck, I am there! Re-evaluate your schedule. It really helps me if I actually pencil in exercise in my…

I am. Anytime I'm craving sweets (huge fan of carbs when I'm stressed), I replace what I would normally eat with a piece of gum, especially if I'm not actually hungry, just craving. I also replace it with water. Eating fresh fruit instead of sweets and carbs helps too, and actually fills me up faster.
-
You can add me as well. I'm always looking for support and motivation from my peers! :o)
-
Go ahead and add me as well. I love the support and check in everyday multiple times a day.

No worries! It has nothing to do with actual weight gain. It has to do with the amount of water your body is retaining, as well as the amount of BM built up in your colon. We can hold anywhere from 5-6lbs in fecal matter alone. Trying upping water intake, and see where it goes from there. That should not only help with the…

We worked together. He told me (after we had already become a couple) that he had his eye on me for awhile :o) We recently got married. You just never know when or where you'll find the one!

Feel free to add me! I check-in everyday on the laptop and more than that on the phone app. Always around :o)

Feel free to add me! I check-in almost every day via laptop, but use the iPhone app several times a day everyday.
-
That is amazing! You rock and are so inspirational!!! :o)

Good luck on your goals. I know you can do it, because of all the things you have already been successful at! It will be a long journey, but in the end will be soooo worth it (I have to tell myself the same thing every day). You go girl! :o)
-
That's awesome!!! Way to go girl!!! :o)

MFP tells me to eat over 2000, but I eat around 1800-1900 a day. You should try using a BMR calculator for further guidance. Just google and several links will pop-up. But of course, it's all based on how you feel. If you start feeling light-headed, sweaty, faint, fatigued, and/or cranky, I would suggest increasing your…
