Exercise at home! Jumping jacks, dancing, running on the spot, livingroom aerobics, ....anything you can possibly do to get that heart rate up! Just look up some videos for at-home exercising on youtube!

today's light lunch: a handful of blackberries & an open-faced pita sandwith on whole wheat w/ tuna, tzatziki, mixed greens & cucumber. 221 calories!

You will continue to lose weight at 1200 calories. 1200 calories is the medically-recommended minimum of calories that women should be eating when trying to lose weight. The only catch is, the smaller you you become, the slower your weightloss will (probably) become....unless you exercise like crazy. But slow and steady…

tuna sandwich: whole grain bun w/ a little bit of honey dijon mustard, mixed greens and hummus. salad: mixed greens (arugula, lettuce, spinach) w/ boiled egg, cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar. also, lightly sauteed zucchini. the whole meal is roughly 420 calories. yum yum yum!

I won't say if it's good or bad for you, as there is so many studies and evidence provided for both sides of the argument. I will say, however, that you should be drinking water instead of soda, but that's a given. Having a soda or a fizzy drink occasionally won't affect you at all, but drinking soda everyday (especially…

I'm a freelance web developer, so I spend alot of time in coffee shops and cafes. One thing I can suggest so you can avoid the high calorie frapps and slurpees is simply an Iced coffee or Iced americano with milk! It's just as satisfying. (Well, only if you're a coffee person, I guess!) At home, I make healthy and icy…

Hiya! I'm a Canadian gal but my partner is English so I've bounced back and forth between Canada & the UK for the last few years! But moving back to the UK permanently (we think!) at the end of the summer!! I'll be back in the sunshine (hah!) of greater London so soon! So british MFP friends are more than welcome! Feel…

Some suggestions: Frozen veggies (corn, peas, beans), rice & pasta in bulk, canned soup...etc. To be honest, to lose weight, your best bet is definitely fresh fruits and vegetables...the ones that are in season should be the cheapest :). Good luck!

I was so freaking sad when Wash died. Loved seeing the actor in Dollhouse though! Eek!

Honestly, for your height, I wouldn't go lower than your goal weight. You should focus on exercises that really work the core! Like yoga or pilates, perhaps?
-
I'm 21 years old, 5"7 tall, and I currently weigh 208lbs. My goal weight is 140-150ish. I have MFP set to a 2lb/week loss, so my calorie limit is 1200. I usually only eat back half or less than half of my exercise calories when i workout (4-5 times/week).
-
I would also definitely say that 1lb/week is a nice goal for you. Slow and steady wins the race! If you feel like you can manage the 1lb/week calories better than the 2lb/week, then definitely switch to that. Good luck!
-
I would tell you try to get that last 100 calories in, especially if you're working out 3 days a week. Have a 100-calorie snack, a banana with peanut butter, a handful of almonds...whatever. But if you're consistently working out and only eating 1100 calories per day...I'd definitely advise eating a tiny bit more.

My goals for June are: -Workout at the gym 4-5 days/week. The gym has really been working for me, (and it's air conditioned and awesome!)...so I'm going to stick with it! -I currently weigh 208lbs, and I'd like to get as close to 199lbs on the scale as possible. I really, really want to see a "1" in front of my weight by…

Soda definitely does not count as water consumed.

Personally, the girl at 160. But everyone has different body goals, of course. But for me personally, I think the lady with a little more meat on her bones looks nicer :)

I agree! My sister is absolutely tiny (but small framed and super fit!). Skinny women are definitely real women! I just think some (certainly not all) celebrities promote an unattainable goal for the average woman, because many are underweight, starve themselves and just...don't look healthy. So having a gallery of body…

I'll say the same thing my sister already did, for any of you on this thread with 200+ to lose, please add our mom! her username is 'elsie81'. just write a quick note in the friend request explaining that you have similar weight loss goals....and that her daughter told you to add her! :) our mom is amazing, and we know she…

I agree...it really depends on how small you are already. Bigger people can easily lose 2lbs a week, but for smaller people, even flawless diet & exercise might only lead to a 1lb/week loss (if you're doing the healthy way and not eating less than 1200cals/day). What's your current weight?

ah, thanks all of you :)!

Thanks everyone! :)
