You look beautiful. Way to go!

Inspirational - thank you.

How about starting a simple walking plan at first instead of jumping on the bike. I know when I"m at my heaviest I don't have the stamina for the elliptical which is my favorite, so I'll revert to one of my walking DVD's at home. Leslie Sansone has some very mellow ones and have increments of 20, 30 and 40 minute walks. I…

If you're watching carbs, try sugar-free French Vanilla creamer, Stevia (or Splenda/Equal), and for extra deliciousness, try light whipped cream or light cool whip. I used to buy the sugar-free caramel or hazelnut syrup, but my concoction was too sweet with that stuff in it.

I was wondering why he had his hand up his shorts. I thought he was being naughty til I clicked on it.... just trying to show the inner thighs that could probably crush a walnut.

My shepherd-mix is extremely intuitive and gets depressed when I'm sad. Like super-sad puppy-dog-eyes-sad. My dobie - big mush-ball that he is - always wants to cuddle and put his head on you - whatever body part is available... so its hard to tell if he feels your sadness or if it's his usual self. And when we're happy or…

Thank you N2. I am sickeningly sweet... just like honey ;-)

Why thank you! I try to. You only live once, I always say ;-) You look like a piece of dark chocolate with tasty cream filling

What a coincidence! I would rather drink (Sambuca) the black licorice flavor than eat it. But, that's just the alcoholic in me speaking, lol.

I AM BLOWN AWAY! That's amazing. You look wonderful. I am inspired by you and I think I will dust off my Jillian Michaels 30-day shred DVD tonight. Thank you for posting your story and your pictures. Congrats on all your hard work and the new you!

I've done both and I can't knock WW because it taught me a lot about eating healthy and I was successful at times on the plan, but the older I get, the more I want to see what is going in my body, which is what MFP is all about. I want to cut down on carbs; I can see my carbs. I want to cut down on sodium, I can see my…

Wow... amazing! Just came from another message board posted of a girl who also lost over 80 lbs. Very inspiring! Anyone who says they are stuck being fat because losing weight is too hard (or like me and everyone else I know saying they've hit a plateau) needs to bump it up, make a change and realize... it can be done.…

I bought a Health-O-Meter a looooong time ago - they seem to be accurate and still is to this day - its the "dial" type - no batteries needed. If it seems to be a little off the 0 lb mark when no one is on it, there is a small dial to get it right back on 0. I also have a Weight Watchers battery operated glass scale and…

Jason's Deli So. West Chicken Chili = 269 calories (too much salt, tho).

I'm in! I'm also on the "IT Health Challenge" at work. (Losing BMI percentage instead of weight). IT employees who wanted to join put in $20 each, so whoever wins, gets the pot. I've been trying to lose weight for sooooo long (been up and down) that I'll take all the motivation I can get. My ticker says 5 lbs so far -…

Society is pretty screwed up - I've learned that we just have to live with the way people think - we can't wait for society to change - there are too many ignorant and judgmental people in this world. You should be happy with who you are and how you look IF you're not depressed because you feel unhealthy or when being…

Yup... been told this a few times during my life. Those people are so ignorant they don't know how hurtful that is. Unless they are ignorant enough to be hurtful on purpose. I'm just glad there are more people out there who think I'm pretty just the way I am. Like my mother and my husband, LOL.

HOORAY FOR BOOBIES!!!
-
KittyJoi, you win with the one about the boobs. I have pretty large boobs, but they look better a little smaller when I lose weight rather than being surrounded by a bunch o' fat when I've been heavier. That's just plain ridiculous. Also, when you hit 40, you tend to start looking at the carbs and your cholesterol, your…

Same here. I'm Irish/German/English so I have all the pink and pasty white you can get. Though I've gotten a big thumbs up on my recent annual health check up, I turn beet red when I exercise. And it doesn't help if you're sweaty, cuz now everyone thinks you're going to stroke out. Kind of embarrassing.

Been using the same pen for 24 years: Pilot Precise V7 Rolling Ball in blue. I've never met another pen that could take it's place. I'm right-handed so I do not fear the smear. I don't know what I would do if they stopped making it.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO READY! I was going to guess your QB as Eli (cuz I'm a crazed Giants fan - and was just hoping there was another one on here ;o)... then saw your link to youtube, first thing that popped up w/Manning brothers... so which one is it? I've already written my games on my work calendar. I LIVE for football…

My two homemade FAVES, definitely NOT tasteless (and so easy): Brown Sugar BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken: Wash chicken, spray lower half of crock pot w/cooking spray. Put a couple full size breasts in slow cooker on med (or high). Pour in about 1/2 c. chicken broth, 3/4 c. bbq sauce (love Baby Rays), Then pour Brown Sugar (made…

... Not to mention having to worry about all that pickle juice jumping out of the jar and onto your clothing as you wrestle the top off with all your might.

I did Atkins in/around 1997 - lost 18 pounds in the first month, 26 pounds by the end of 2 months. I think this guys needs to study the basics of that diet. I do remember to "kick in" the ketosis state, I had to eat only salads every day for 3 days in a row, with nooooo carbs at all. Body starts saying, "hey don't starve…

Don't beat yourself up too much. When we tend to eat a healthy diet - we are forgetting to allow ourselves a special treat every now and then. If you exercise and eat right most of the time, why don't you try giving yourself a once-or twice-a-month special treat for job well done. Won't kill ya... ENJOY!
-
i have been on Atkins (around 1997-98) and was very successful but it was hard to stick with. Over the years, I've tried Weight Watchers (on and off) and liked the healthier eating lifestyle but the PROBLEM THERE is that you are calculating points, and unlike MFP, you don't see all the other important stuff - carbs,…

I'm pretty excited. MW3 is my husb's and step-son's fave, but COD Black Ops was always mine. I kick some serious butt on a lot of maps, but favorties are Nuketown and Firing Range. Can't WAIT to see the new Nuketown! Can't call out, tho :-( I hope all of you get well soon! ;o)
