  • I refused to give myself the day off and my grumpy 5000m row turned out to be over 1 minute faster than my previous best efforts! Just the pick up I needed as the scales have been solidly refusing to shift and I was starting to question if any of this was worth it.
  • I started off with E-cup, dropped weight and the back size went down (from about 34" to 30") and cup size increased to a G. Latest update is that the boobs are down to an F or FF whilst the back size is the same. Boobs - they do their own thing. They will shrink to a certain extent when the fat decides to go, but you're…
  • Another IBS sufferer here. It never ceases to amaze me that I can be both constipated and have diarrhoea, but there we go. Two things that really helped me: Low fodmap and VSL3 probiotics. Low fodmap is a bit of a pig to maintain and reintroducing food is a weird headf**k of wanting to be able to eat something but scared…
  • I've just been diagnosed with IBS and have been doing low FODMAP for about a month, combining with probiotic tablets as I think in my case it's linked to antibiotics. I'm also lactose intolerant, even without the IBS. My diary is useless though as I've not logged for a few years since getting my daily eating habits more…
  • AFAIK Strava identifies riding time from stationary time and only uses the ride time for the calculations. Hence my weekend ride was 5:43 riding of over 7 hours total duration. However if anyone uses a Polar for their long rides that have breaks in them, I feel your pain. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
  • Yes! Newbie cyclist here, also converted to clipless recently. I nearly fell over with right foot clipped in, standing over the bike, left foot flat on the ground. My boyfriend had to save me. And then mock me because who knows how that was even possible. Since then I've been really lucky and only had a clip-related…
  • Hand... wash? With all the talk of jumping, part of me wants to get scientific about it. Like when they attach balls to people's limbs to check their action for sport. But attached to nips to see the range of bounce. That'd be ridiculous though.
  • Are you the one who's house alarm goes off 8 times a day for 45 minutes? ;) I'm a bit too broken to manage more than one trip into Central a fortnight atm, which is a shame. I think I'm going to see what I can find online and take advantage of distance selling regs if it doesn't fit. That or surprise my boyfriend with a…
  • Nicolee_2014 - I love to prance around in just my underwear! I'd pretend it was the heat, but it's also vanity. Is the general feeling then, that they're as comfortable as a normal bra, but with near-mystical ability to hold one's norks in place?
  • YES scb515! Wood Green-ish. Might move away though - the air is destroying my lungs (helped by a chest infection for >6 months) - hence why rowing's all I'm doing. Too much in the way of fumes to get to the gym :( Does it ever dig in randomly? Like with normal bras I tend to find some like to rub below the armpit - others…
  • This. I have dodgy knees, agonising feet if I walk too much, and a cleavage that scorns my running attempts. And I have a Concept2 in my spare room and I'm something ridiculous like 54000 metres rowed this month. Superb full body workout.

  • Football totally is a contact sport. Sunday League stuff even more so. It's fouls that aren't allowed. I wouldn't risk it if I were you. Too high a risk that you'll mash it up.
  • Do not understand. Why would you want a sweaty cleavage?
  • Rest. I've been laid up for nearly 6 months now with a total &"£*$&")*%& of a chest infection. Gentle exercise and Helloooo out of hours GP. Feeling a lot better now, but two days in bed. Hoping (beyond all hope) that this is the end of it. I didn't even really have symptoms beyond a cough in the mornings. It's just not…
  • Well you learn something new every day. I always thought it was synonymous with 'developing' and everything that goes with it. Oh, and OP - I've been laid up with a chest infection and thus didn't do any real exercise for 4-5 months. I was eating 1600-2500 calories a day (depending on how well I felt), and I've put on…
  • So many variables it's hard to judge. I see my boyfriend only rarely on account of distance and finances, and he's not the most talkative in between times, but that kinda works for us as we're both quite independent and we have each others back when it matters. But the lack of any sleepovers? How does that work? My…
  • I miss that good gym burn so freakin' much! You're all right, and I know it. I need to sit on my rear, play a lot of computer games, maybe take Watford into Europe in Football Manager - should take suitably long enough. So bored of it all. I wanna go walking in the Chiltern Hills and... OK, if I keep thinking like this,…
  • Oh, my sympathies. I'm completely spare from 3 months of being unwell, so I have no idea how you manage if you feel anything like this on a regular basis! Sadly I don't have an exercise bike and my gym is a 1.5km walk away. Plus my knees are weird and when they're really bad, the motion of pedalling can cause them to lock…
  • Hell no! I'm just getting back on it from being sick. Felt a bit iffy on Tuesday. Decided to man up and go to the gym. Wiped myself out so bad I can't remember Weds-Sat afternoon. Now very behind on work and so stressed I've hit the emergency wine. Resting up is definitely the way to go!
  • Mine have faded, but I've stretch marks all over my thighs, hips, breasts, and they are in such number that I'd swear they were obvious. Not from being overweight or anything, but just from growing - seriously, there is no reason on earth I should have stretch marks as I'm still a tiny wee thing, and yet I glisten in the…
  • I had a doc who was an idiot. She diagnosed gastric reflux when I was presenting with all the symptoms of gall stones. (The A&E doc after the allergic reaction to the meds was most incredulous as to how she'd reached that conclusion). Your doc is not an idiot. Similarly, when my knee went, I wanted it *fixed* right now. I…
  • Depends mainly on if I know the chap or not. If he's someone I know, then absolutely, no qualms about getting down and dirty. If it's a first date with someone in a bar, I've half an eye on making it out alive rather than entering a strange house/letting a nutter loose in mine. As it happens, I slept with my bf a few times…
  • My ex found my intelligence intimidating. And told me so. It didn't work. Similar level of intelligence; similar interests; similar maturity. Else I will swiftly want to punch the poor chap in the face. Repeatedly.
  • Your body = pretty much my goal. Strong enough to punch out a cow, but without the abs that'd give the game away. Totes fabulous! :D
  • I'm terribly aggressive. And wholly self-destructive. So if I don't get the anger out, at best, I end up smoking heavily and necking gin like no tomorrow. So: I call people c**ts a lot. Not to their face, not within hearing, and not with anyone around. Sometimes, not even outloud. I also scorn, belittle and condescend. All…
  • 1800 a day minimum (after deduction to lose) and consistently losing. If I fall below that I stall quick as you can say "moar steak please". It's awesome cos you're not hungry and get to eat pie and look smug whilst those around me eat lettuce. I'm 5'2, 130ish lbs, and go to the gym roughly 3 times a week.
  • I am the most narcissistic person I know. My main reason to get in shape is so I can preen half-naked in front of the mirror and prance around like the smuggest cat on earth. If that makes me shallow, who cares! Do things that make you happy!
  • Re bra fitting, don't go somewhere that measures. Last time I got measured, I came out as a 38B (UK sizes). I left the store in a 34E. The maths is ridiculous. Go somewhere that knows how a bra should fit.
  • I eat 1800 or thereabouts and workout roughly 3 times a week. Wholly sedentary job - I work from home so there's not even the commute. So yeah, up your calories, put in more resistance - even if it's just squats, lunges, press ups etc with bodyweight - into your 3x30 mins. Slower weight loss but more quality fat loss. Oh…
  • Chubby. At most, fat. Definitely not obese. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN, get yourself fitted with a proper bra. You look like you're wearing 3 cup sizes too small!
